Just a sketch from the late 90's. One thing that has a certain fascination for me is a visual pun, or on the other hand hyperliteralism, of a pedestrian social concept dealing with fat. So along those lines is this exaggeration of the idea of horizontal stripes making women look wider. The idea of unwieldy width certainly has its appeal even without the idiom.
