Yah, group of anime fans. Bleh. BLEH I SAY!I don't like to be around people that talk about nothing but anime. It's boring and it gives me a headache. I can't help but bite the head off people who are being stupid. Like those who FAWN over stupid chibi art that was done in 10 seconds because the artist had made 1000 pics of the SAME THING. They've done it so much that they've become PHOTOCOPIERS. Well that's what I saw. Blah blah and more blah, I shouldn't say more, unless I want someone bitching at me for having a difference of opinion. X3
So yah. I can't help but blurt out that stuff when something like that happens. It's always bound to happen and I should just live with it. But there's some things we don't feel like controlling. >:3
Also, I hate anime cons. Cosplayers up close in real life make me sad on the inside.

I really can't stand it either. 1. It gets old, FAST. 2. Getting shunned because they no more than thy or, as you said, getting your head bitten off for having an opinion. 3. More than half of the time I don't know what the hell they are talking about (I don't really watch that much now-a-days, and whatever I do read/watch, I'm always behind).

I would never go to an anime convention. A Guarantee that 90% of them are single minded ignorant anime fanbrats.
At least ComicCon has both a Western and Eastern seletion of great artists. Haha!

I went to my first anime con (ACEN) earlier this year. After that, I'm going to have to say that I'm never going to another anime convention again.
It was really disappointing for me. But then again, I didn't know what to expect. Half the artists I wanted to meet in person weren't there, and the ones I did meet just made it awkward. The cosplayers freaked me out (but of course, that's expected when you're walking behind two Bridgets). Yeah, and it didn't help that I got my keys locked in my car...

When I expressed no desire to attend an anime con because I had no desire to be surrounded by countless nerds pretending they can do a backlash wave or whatever his favorite move is now, someone said they're not like that.
Then again, I find Man-Faye somewhat creepy, so it could be that I'm just born to be an anime convention outsider.

Seriously, I have no interest in forking over that over bloated amount of cash to read free comics, watch free movies, get scolded for not knowing what a "Sasuke" is, learn how to draw something I can learn in on my own... Pff, I got all that in college, along with the pain in the ass price tag.
... Cosplayers, I actually like to check out. At least, people who pain-staking put together something that took them months (no points for buying it), I find it pretty cool that people care that much (kinda)... Though, when it becomes a everyday garb... then I get a little weirded out... more so than usual.

My veiw exactly. Chibis are fun to draw and all, but i'd much rather see a nice detailed picture of a full body shot of some brand new original character.
