I'm going to be redrawing this soon to fit my current drawing style... but I still really like how this illustration for my book came out. It is drawn/painted with India inks.

This is Rydon, a young autumn dragon, playing a dragon harp. He can use his hands, tail, wings, whatever works best to reach the strings, and it can look like a dance at times. His best friend is a tiny fairy named Fidi, and though she is in the picture you can't see much of her because of the scale... But like the rest of her species, her voice sounds almost like a violin, and their language is music. So Rydon, who was already musically inclined, took it upon himself to be the only dragon around to actually learn the fiol's language, instead of "cheating" via dragons' telepathy.
