Description
Yet another dragon because I've been drawing them non-stop.This one has been dubbed the "Feathered Terror"
A dragon sporting two seemingly oversized wings, it stalks the skies by day in search of wild game. Dining primarily on wild pigs, furry animals such as raccoon's and skunks, fish, and small livestock such as sheep or goats, this dragon breed is deemed a hellion by farmers.
Long legs support the horse sized body, but even then are not enough to keep this dragon from dragging its heavy wings on the ground.
Unable to nest in trees thanks to its size, this breed has co-evolved to live alongside the "Sugar-Glider". They hunt, breed, sleep, and raise young alongside their flightless friends, sharing everything along the way to ensure that both species are getting equal gain from the relationship.
Thick feathers cover most of this dragon's body, hence the origin of its species name. The feathers are plush and thick, ensuring maximum temperature control - but absorb water making it impossible for this dragon to fly during a storm. This breed is incapable of swimming because the weight of its soaking wet feathers would drag it underwater, where it would drown.
Birdlike in nature, it is attracted to shiny objects and prone to preening itself constantly. Both males and females care for young, and are surprisingly doting parents. Partners take turns sitting on eggs to ensure that both are able to eat and drink properly, to prevent either from getting weak.
Coloration is typically a mix of blue and white, sometimes sporting tints of black or gold.
This dragon is both a fire and an electric elemental. Static electricity is produced in its feathers, and stored in the body for emergencies. When agitated, its feathers will flare from the contained electrical currents, and if touched, the assailant will be given a powerful zap.
It spews a molten flame - the supposed "lava" is made up of melted soil and the indigestible parts of animals. This gives the fire a potent scent of burnt hair and bone.
