Description
Houndoom and Houndour genetic mutations. For a bit of help I looked into albinism for dogs, and noticed that any area where the fur is black tends to turn brown. (Looking up Albino Zebra's also helped confirm this a bit). Not too thrilled with how the shinnies came out- I don't think I got the right shade of blue for them. Muzzle and underbelly look fine though. Anywhoolze, on to the weird stuff I do XDNormal: Typical Houndoom/Houndour. Capable of being great fighters if trained and bred correctly.
Shiny: Same as the normal Houndoom/Houndour, only with different colored fur.
Albino: Lacking the pigment vital to protect it from the toxic UV lights, this light furred mishap must take to nocturnal hunting in hopes of survival. Sadly, lack of pigment has also taken away much of its ability to tolerate the very fires it uses. This set must rely on dark type moves, and must be sure to avoid targeting fire type Pokemon. Its fire type attacks are extremely weak. On the plus, they have cute pink noses.
Melanistic: This set is overflowing with pigment. Like the Albino, this set hunts at night- but has a much higher success rate due to their camouflage and ability to use fire type moves to their hearts content. Slightly more resistant against fire type attacks, but unaffected by their mutation otherwise.
Leucistic: Similar to the Albino, this set lacks much- but not all- of their dark pigment. This lack of pigment has turned their fur a surprisingly admireable shade of brown, which also aids them during daytime hunting, because they're better camouflaged when hunting in tall grass. Their fire type moves are barely effected, as is their tolerance to sunlight. Still, they prefer shade on hot days.
