Description
When school was finally over I went strate back to my current 'home'. All that awaited me at my campsite was a small pile of dry wood, a few pillows, a blanket and some small items that I kept for the happy memories. I didn't keep any food at my campsite; it would only attract the bugs that I didn't need around. I sat down on my blanket and ran my hand over it. "Its soft." I thought to myself. "Im so tired..." I took a slow glance upto the sky that shown through the forest canopy befor laying down and drifting into a quiet sleep."Tenchi-San?" I could hear her voice. I simply chose to ignoore Instincts voic. "You havent been eating enough. Will you please start to eat more meats?" I sat up, used to the empty blackness that surrounded me while I was 'away'. "I have been trying to eat more Instinct. I just cant eat two much at one time, I'll get sick." "I know Tenchi. I just wish that you would stop it." I stared into Instincts empty eye's befor placeing my hand on her face. "Why are your eyes always so empty?" Instinct put her hand ontop of mine befor slowly closing her eyes, as if to think. "I am a emotionless demon. Part of you that longs to be without pain. My eyes will forever apear empty, just as yours will be full of an unknown emption for all of eternity..." The image of my inner self became hazy befor dissapearing alltogether, leaveing me lying half awake in my campsite.
"Hmmm...Why do I allways have to wake up? I've only been asleep for three hours." I forced myself to sit up and shake away the tiredness that still hadn't left my body. I stood myself up and streached out my legs, feeling the warm soil under my feet. Shifting my weight onto my left leg I took a quick look around myself. "Somethings out of place here..." I thought to myself as I took a cautios step forward, followed by another slow step. I continued at the slow pace while I began to walk out of my campsite and out into the deeper part of the forest. My sences were entirly alert. I watched for the slightest movement, my ears listening for the slightest disturbance. If my eyes or ears were to fail my nose would catch the sent of any creature that was not part ot this forest.
I turned off of my current path and made my way twords the meadow, if there was anyone here that didn't need to be here they would surly be in the meadow. I slowed my pace and began to walk on all fours, useing my hands and legs as I crept twords the opening in the forest. When I had finnaly made it to the edge of the meadow I stopped. Listening for any noise that was out of the ordanary I looked around the landscape. A sudden twing of surprise caused me to jump up and to the side, I had narrowly dodged a blast from a Blast gun (A deadly weapon that shoots bursts of hot flame and oil). "Well I had heard that a wolf demon lived in these parts but I didn't know that the rumors were true!" I looked ahead of me and saw a demon hunter standing in a tall oak tree. "Sorry. I didn't realise that I was in human territory." The sarcasm was so evident in my voice that the man bagan to chuckle. "Your not in our territory per say. But you are standing in the presence of a demon hunter, are you going to run or stand and fight? I'll let you choose." I smile spread itself across my face. "Even if I chose to run you would not leave me alone."
The hunter smiled and gave a curt nod. "True." The hunter then charged at me swinging his sword in my direction, I dodged each of the moves easily but knowing that I would not be able to dodge forever. Takeing a step back I spun my body around and kicked him in his side, sending him sliding backwards a good four yards. He charged at me again and this time I simply curved my head twords the grownd and in that same movement lifted my legs into the air. He heeles collided with his cheeks but he had grabed ahold of my right leg and thrown me across the feild. I quickly made my way back to my feet, ready to plant one deadly blow on my attacker. "Well it seemes that you've managed to break my jaw, sadly its time to end this little fight." The hunter yet again charged at me, and I once again lept into the air. During my jump I curled my legs into my chest and as I made my way over the mans head I made the last move. I pushed my right food downward and kicked the man square in the head, just over his left temple cracking his skull while pushing his body forward. Causing him to break the other side of his face on a large stone that was hidden in the long grass.
I landed only a few feet away from the unconciouse mans body, turning to look I could tell that the man would survive our fight; he would just have a concusion. Content that the hunter would be no more of a bother to me I went back to camp and once again made myself comfortable on my blanket knowing that I would not be able to fall back asleep.
