Description I layed there and waited for the first rays of the sun to appear and once they did I stood, dusted myself off and began traveling back twords school. I changed my clothes (My clothes are not kept at my campsite but spread out in hollowed out tree's). From the look of the sky it was only around three A.M and school didn't open untill six; class doesnt start untill eight-thirdy. "Great I have about three hours to kill." I cursed under my breath and walked down to the shoreline to watch the sea. The steady sound of the sea crashing onto the shore then receding back into itself braight an unusual calmness to me. I walked over to a flat toped bolder and stood there, watching the calm waters. Some movement under the water caught my attention and I inched closer for a better look.
The movement swam closer to me, I bent my back and put my face just above the waters surface struggling to see what it was unter the greenish water. A sudden burst of water (along with the creature under the surface) bolted out at me, knocking me down onto the sandy bank. The salt water stung my eye's causing my to close them to avoid the bitter sting of saltwater getting into them. I felt somthing licking my face and eyes and I could hear the sound of a panting animal. I opened my eyes to see Shift, my spirit wolf companion. "Hey Shift! Long time no see! What have you been up to?!" Shift jumped off of me and shook the water off of her coat.
"I was out searshing for a mate...To no avail." Shift looked up at me with her big black eye's. "How was your first day of school? I must appologise for missing it." I leaned down and bagan petting my freind. "School was fine. Most of my teachers chewed me out for 'not doing what was instructed'. I like my biology and art classes though." A slight laugh emmited from Shift. She bagan to grow and her hind quarters (back of body) bacame a ghost like tail. "How long has it been? Since I last gave you a ride?" I chuckled lightly at this. "About three months ago when you left." "Then climb on up." Shift commanded that I climed onto her back, and I did just that.
I held onto Shift's short fur and wraped me legs around her sides (Much like you would a horse) and waited for my ride to begin. Shift let out a low growl as her 'tail' fluffed up, she took two steps forward befor we took off into the air. The speed that we were flying was must have been well over fifty miles pere hour. Shift started out flying low to the waters surface befor she bolted up into the lightly clowded sky. Through a series of twists and turns we soared oved the vast oceans as we whisped through the clowds. The wind in my face and the smell of the salty air braught an incredible feeling to me. "I wonder if this is what Sasori felt whenever he flew?" I wondered to meself. My only brother was an Owl demon, he was born with his wings and could fly whenever he chose to.
Sadly my brother along with my cousin dissapeard six years ago, leaveing me and my now deceased sister to fend for ourselves when our family died. A few tears from the memories of my mothers death worked there way out of my eye's, Shift noticed the tears. "Whats wrong?! Are you ok?" I carfully wiped my eyes with my right arm. "Your flying a little to fast! The wind is drying out my eyes!" Shift who belived my lie slowed down to about the speed of a bike ride. "Have you met anybody you could be interreasted in at school yet?" Shift asked out of clear habbit. "I've only gone to school for one day and the only person I met was a FEMALE." Shift dove down to bring us back to the ground, but she didn't allow me to get off of her back. "Sorry Tenchi, I am going to be carrying you around all day weather you like it or not."
"Just promise that you wont make me call you mommy." I joked. Shift and I both began laughing hystarically at my odd coment. "Don't give me any idea's Tenchi! You know I'll tell everyone that I'm your mama!" Shiftg and I set out for my school as soon as the sun began to rise out from behind the mountains. The trip was about twenty minutes shorter due to Shift running speed.
