Description Yet another beast for

As the title states, it eats the insectoid creatures.

Description:
About the size and weight of a large breed of horse. Walks on 4 legs- has paws. Has a set of "Hands", sporting 3 fingers and a thumb like structure. Fingertips are similar to that of a geko's sticky feet, and used to hold onto surfaces. Sports small ears and eyes, but a large set of nostrils- relies on its sense of smell to distinguish between everything from food, allies, and enemies. Sports a large, crocodilian mouth. The mouth contains a row of sharp teeth, and 3 large "Tusks"- two on the bottom jaw, and one on the upper. All three tusks placed at the front of the mouth. Short, fleshy tail. The whole body- save for the padded fingers- is covered in a layer of coarse hair.

Killing:
This beast sports 2 favored methods of killing. The first being to ambush prey and kill them before they can know their presence.
The other being to attack a foe head on.
In both methods, the idea is to crush the skull with a powerful bite. In the event of a head-on attack, the arms are used to restrain a pair of the prey's limbs and hold them in place, then they deliver the fatal blow. However, its common for them to miss and bite down on the neck, shoulder, or limb area, due to their relatively poor eyesight. They can see shapes, but are unable to spot most of the minor details. Because of this, humans are often attacked by these creatures- because they are mistaken as an insectoid, which they commonly hunt. Attacked humans are not eaten, because the beasts hold a strong distaste for them.
Luckily, humans have a much greater chance of surviving an attack than the actual prey- because the beast immediately senses the difference upon biting, and usually doesn't bite down as hard. However, this only works if the bite didn't land upon the skull or throat.

Diet:
Omnivore. Hunter+scavenger.
Dines on nuts, berries, plants, eggs, fish, and a variety of smaller animals. Favors hunting insectoids, birds, and snakes. Eats bones of its prey, and is more than willing to eat rotting meat.

Extra:
Humans are only attacked by individuals infected by a parasite that roots itself inside the nostrils. Said parasites drastically damage their smell receptors, causing them to lose their sense of smell. This renders the creature unable to distinguish between humans and insectoids, among other things.
Non-infected individuals are capable of being domesticated, and actually become protective of human individuals.
