Clueless x Emily Valentine story. Happy Valentines Day ask-the-grossmans~!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  With a smile, the clown finished working the last the last stitch into fabric he was working with. Once done, he set the item down to give it a look over. Every stitch was in its proper place, the velvet he'd used was a good color. He extended a clawed hand to feel the item, enjoying its silky texture. A chuckle passed his lips as he picked it back up, giving it a good look over. The wings were a good size, the body an ideal shape. All in all, it was a perfect little stuffed animal. A little black and white bat. He'd made it about the size of a house cat, and done his best to make it realistic while keeping it fairly cute. The expression he'd put on its face did that well enough.
  Bright blue glass eyes, a little smile with a pair of fangs sticking out. From his perspective, it was adorable. He hummed quietly to himself as his thoughts trailed to the lovely young woman the gift was for. Then, a slight frown formed on his face, and he glared at the toy a bit. Yes, the bat was adorable- but, the person he'd made it for deserved something better than a lifeless toy. He stared at it for a moment in thought, before his eyes lit up with excitement. He could fix the issue easy with a bit of magic. All he needed, was a little something extra to make things more, genuine. Humming happily, he reached into a drawer by his work space to rummage though its contents.
  That drawer was full of glass hearts of all shapes and sizes. Some the size of a quarter, and others as big as a tennis ball. His smile widened as he pulled out an ideal heart for the toy. A small white and red heart. The pattern it had was heart shaped stripes. Beautiful. He continued to hum as he used a claw to cut open the chest of the toy, before he slipped the glass object inside. Again, he worked on stitching the toy. He closed the wound he'd inflicted upon the toy, giving its chest a line of stitches that stood out boldly on its frame. He'd done so on purpose. He had a similar set of stitches on his chest from doing the same to himself, so, what he was doing had a number of meanings.
  In a sense, he was using the toy as a representation of giving himself to the woman he'd made it for. Once he was done fixing the toy up, he paused a moment to look it over. Something else needed added- and he knew just what. Chuckling, he retrieved a spray bottle filled with red ink, and he gave the toy a sprits. A tint of red hit all the white spots on the bats body, giving it some extra color. Since he'd used ink and had done such a light coating, so long as he left it to try for a few minutes the feel of the toy wouldn't change. Once it dried, the velvet would be soft and smooth as ever. He gently blew on the wet ink to help it dry, and after a few minutes he gave it a hesitant touch.
  He was pleased to find his claws came up dry. With that, the toy itself was done. He just needed to add one, special touch to make it the ideal gift for his little friend. Smiling, he hugged the bat close to his frame and closed his eyes in concentration. He mouthed the words "One, two, three", before abruptly throwing the toy into the air. Instead of falling, the stuffed bat came to life and began to flap its wings frantically in an attempt to keep airborne. With a bit of effort on its part, the toy stabilized itself and began to fly around the tent. He laughed at the sight, pleased with the effects of his magic. Now, the toy would make the perfect gift.
  Silently, he beckoned the toy bat to him. In an instant, it stopped flapping its wings to dive towards him, and he caught it with open claws. Humming, he gave the little thing a pat, before setting it in a nearby box. The bat calmly laid down and remained still even as the clown put the lid on top of the box. Afterwards, he took the gift and teleported to his friends location. To his surprise, she was sitting near the Ferris wheel, peering up at it with curious eyes. At first he believed she wanted to go for a ride, then he recalled that she wasn't very fond of heights. She might have been thinking about why he usually kept that ride off.
  He'd bring up thinking it was haunted, sometime later. For now, he had a present for her. Humming, he walked over to her and reached down to lightly tap her shoulder with a claw. She turned to look up at him, and smiled. He didn't know if she was glad to see him, or excited about her gift. Either way, he liked seeing her happy. Offering a smile of his own, he handed her the box and watched excitedly as she lifted off the lid. He wasn't surprised to see the bat bolt skyward almost immediately, but she jumped in surprise having not expected anything living to be in it. However, that shock was quickly replaced with excitement upon seeing what it was.
  She laughed and held out her hands as if to try and catch the bat, and widened her eyes in excitement when it willingly flew into her arms to be held. The toy knew who its owner was, and so there was an immediate attachment to her on its part. He smiled as she hugged the toy, pleased to have another friend to spend time with. A soft chuckle passed his lips as he sat down, only to have her sit beside him and cuddle close. He hummed and wrapped an arm around her frame to hold her close, before he leaned to kiss her forehead.
  "Happy Valentines day, Emma~" Clueless cooed, before he looked towards the Ferris wheel. She giggled and did likewise, happily cuddling the living toy and the clown as she did so. That, was a happy Valentines day indeed. He'd seen to it~
