This pertains only to those who are listed as having tickets.You have arrived at the Iyore International Airfield.. To start your Expedition, you are required to check in with the ticket agent before March 7, 15:00 MT.
- You can do this by posting a new comment on the ship deviation. Do not post any other original comments; all replies and roleplay will take place as replies to your original comment. Anything posted as a new comment will be ignored.

Plane Demographics:
This plane contains five rows of seats; two seats in each row, one on either side of the aisle. All seats are window seats.
There are five attendants on the plane. You may converse with any of them at any time.
You must remain in your seat for the duration of the flight. The attendants will help you safely disembark once the plane has landed.
You may talk to other characters indirectly. If you have a message to pass to another player character, pass your message through an attendant.

The ticket agent greets you and hands you your boarding pass. “Boarding begins at 15:30 MT March 7; the flight will leave at 14:00 MT March 8. Make sure you’re on board!” It’s a quick jaunt through security then out on to the tarmac towards the plane. It’s a small aircraft, requiring only a small staircase to get to the door.

Once it was time to board, Aderyn headed out to the plane, moving her backpack from one shoulder to the other. Checking her boarding pass, she climbed the stairs and sat down in her seat.

An attendant walks by to check if you have your seatbelt fastened. Once you have done so, she starts the safety message.
Een: "Welcome aboard flight 201 to the Kituen Isles! I am Een, I'll be your head attendant for this flight. Because this is a small aircraft, as you have noticed, we have to maintain a very delicate balance of weight while we are in flight. We ask that you remain in your seat for the entire flight; should you need to use the bathroom, please call a flight attendant to take your seat. This aircraft has two exits; the one you came in through and one at the rear of the plane. In the event of a crash, please calmly exit using one of the exits. Our flight duration should be approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. Thank you for flying with us."
During the flight, you will have the opportunity to ask three questions to any of the attendants on the plane.

Aderyn waves her arms and does her best to flag down one of the flight attendants. "Excuse me, I have a question." She says to whoever happens to be close by. "I was wondering, where in the islands are we landing?"

The nearest attendant happens to be Twee.
Twee: "Hey, where do we land? The airstrip is in the middle of the island of Soran. You'll go your own way from there."

Aderyn smiled kindly at Twee. "How long until we arrive? And how long will we be spending on the islands until we have to come back?"

Twee: "We'll be arriving shortly. And there is no set timeline for your time on the islands." (The RP director does, however, inform you that all discussions need to be completely by April 13.)
Because your second question was not one that can be satisfactorily answered, you are allowed one more.

Aderyn hummed happily. "Thank you for your help Twee. I just have one more question. "Is there anyway to go to a different island? Because I have quite a fear of swimming, and I'd love to explore other islands besides the one we land on."

Twee: "Oh yes, there are boats to cross with. If you pick a guide who specializes on a different island, they'll have a boat to get there. Except Kaiga. She has, um, a different way of getting between islands that involves getting wet."

Aderyn bowed her head to Twee. "Thank you so much for your help. Getting wet isn't an issue, I'm just scared of deep water." She reclined her head on the back of her seat, trying to get some sleep before the plane landed.

RPD: heck, let's start it now.
You have officially arrived at the airfield in the grassy midlands of Soran. A welcoming crew meets you as you disembark from the aircraft. There is a man waiting for you at the bottom of the stairway. “Welcome to Soran! I have a number of people waiting behind me who can take you to a different part of Kitue to explore. But first I need to know; which direction do you wish to travel?”
Please choose one of the following: North/Northeast/Northwest/East. Or, if you have a particular guide in mind, choose them.

Aderyn steps off the plane and breathes the salty air. "Hmm..." She pulled out her map. "I would love to explore the island of Misae. So I guess that would be...Northeast." She offer a kind smile and readjusts her backpack, making it more comfortable.

You’ve chosen Northeast. Four people move forward; their areas of expertise lies to the northeast. Among them are two hunters (a male and a female) and two people of questionable character (a male and a female). Who would you like to approach?

Aderyn carefully looks over her choices. "As good as a hunter may be for tracking down animals, I'm a little intrigued by you." She turns and looks at the questionable female and extends her hand. "Hi, my name's Aderyn. What's yours?"

The shady woman is facing away from you, keen on not being seen by the larger, more authoritative man standing in the Northwest group.
Woman "I'm Sashara." Her voice is barely louder than a whisper. Her eyes glint towards you as she complete disregards your extended hand.

Aderyn's smile falls slighty and she turns to the female hunter. "Hi, I'm Aderyn." She extends her hand again but keeps Sashara in mind. She looks like the kind of woman who means business and isn't knows what she's doing.

The hunter takes your extended hand and gives it a strong shake.
Hunter: "Hello! I'm Freina! Don't mind Sashara, she's a bit of a tough cookie to crack. I don't think she really want to be here, but the pay is fairly good here in Soran. If you want to approach her, I'd suggest going to her with some sort of deal. Or, if you'd prefer, I'll take you."

Aderyn nods gently. "I think I would prefer going with you if that's okay." She smiles softly and adjusts her backpack. "So, which is your favourite part of the island we're going to? Any places you'd recommend?"

Freina: "I love climbing to the top of the rocks and searching the caves for bears. OR wrangling thontors in the jungle, that's always a blast." She stares off into the sky, reminiscing about her past experiences on Misae.

Aderyn gets excited at the thought of climbing the rocks. "I quite enjoy climbing. Would you mind taking me there?" Her eyes sparkle, she can't wait to get started exploring.

Freina: "Of course! Shall we be off then?" Freina walks into one of the shelters and returns with two xoals. "This will get us to the northeast coast quickly. You can ride, right?"

Aderyn grins from ear to ear. "Not that well, but I enough that I can stay in the saddle, and I know what to do." Aderyn takes the reins of one of the xoals and mounts. She was a little uneasy at first, but eventually regained her balance and center. "I haven't done this in years!" She giggled happily.

Freina: "Good!" Freina swings up onto her mount and urges her into a gallop. Your mount is quick to follow. The lands of Soran quickly pass. Freina chooses to go around forest on the east side. When you reach the coast, however, it is high noon and Freina suggests that you rest until the heat of the sun has dropped.

She pulls back on the reins and stops her xoal, quickly dismounting. "I think that would be a good idea. We're all a bit tired I think." She ties up her xoal and sits down in the shade, sighing happily.

Freina takes the xoals and sets them free back towards the village. She leaves you sitting in the shade and ducks into the forest. She returns a few minutes later with an assortment of fruit. Most of what she offers are seapples. She also has a few bananas and a watermelon. From her own bag she takes out a few pieces of smoked meat and offers you some.

Aderyn accepts it and nods her thanks. Once lunch is done, she takes off her hoodie and goes over to one of the trees at the edge of the forest. With a jump, she starts climbing, wanting to get a good view of where they were going, and where they had been. "Wow...the view is amazing!" She calls down to Freina as she sits on the highest branch she can get to that will support her weight.

Freina laughs.
Freina: "What are you, an arunj? Get down from there before a threbel takes you." She wait for you to climb down. The sun is low enough now that you won't get third degree burns from the sun's reflection on the water and if you start out any later, you won't reach Misae until after dark.

Aderyn laughs happily and climbs down. "So, are we setting back out now?" She picks up her pack and pulls it onto her shoulder.

Freina: "Yes, we are. Help me pull the boat out of the bushes here, would you?"

Aderyn happily agrees and helps Freina pull the boat to the water and climbs in once she's told she can.

Freina grabs the oars from the brush and jumps in, she gets them into position and shoves the boat away from the shore. She steers the boat out into the sea and catches a current running straight for Misae. You should be there shortly. In the meantime, you get to have a look around the sea.

Aderyn looks out into the ocean, awe-struck by the view. "Oh my gosh..." She leans over the side and sticks her hand into the water, giggling a bit at the cold. "This sight is AMAZING!! I grew up near the ocean, but I hate swimming. Deep water terrifies me." She looks over at Freina and smiles. "Can I help in any way?"

Freina is leaning back against the side of edge of the boat with her feet up on the seat beside you; the oars aren't even in the water anymore.
Freina: "Yeah, mind passing me a seapple from my bag up there?"

Aderyn nods and tosses her the fruit before returning her gaze to the open ocean. She spots some creatures jumping in the distance and turns to Friena, pointing in their direction. "You guys have some pretty amazing sea life here, don't you?"

Freina turns and looks to where you're pointing.
Freina: "I actually don't like the delsi; so bothersome when I'm trying to fish or hunt for the bigger creatures. Most of the time I just stay away from the water completely. I'd love to ride a pakpao though; I've heard they're pretty amazing. Hard to find, unless you have the right 'vibe'." Freina snorts and throws her seapple core overboard. She grabs the oars and puts them back in the water. You hadn't noticed the land coming up in front of you. Freina steers the boat out of the current and starts towards the shore. "Brace yourself." She takes aim at the sand and beaches the boat at full speed.

Aderyn yelps a bit as the boat beaches. Once it comes to a stop though she laughs a bit and pulls herself overboard, extending her hand and offering to help Freina out. "So, where are we off to now?"

Freina: "Well, you wanted to climb, yeah? That means we have to work our way through that tangle of growth." She points to the dense jungle on the edge of the beach. "There should be a path or two through there; it does grow quite quickly, but the thontors don't care."

Aderyn grins widely. But at the mention of thontors, her smile falls a bit. "I've seen people come back with those in the springs...they're scare me.."

Freina: "Don't worry about the thontors, we'll stay out of their way. Shall we be off?" She motions to the jungle.

Aderyn nods eagerly and follows Freina closely. "Thank you for being my guide. I really appreciate it." She offers the woman a kind smile.

Freina: "Don't thank me yet, we're not finished yet." She laughs and pushes aside some of the branches. Luckily, there is a path just a few feet inside the initial wall and Freina guides you on to it. The path is quite small and dark; Freina tells you it's because the thontors haven't been through here in a while. She doesn't seem to think that they'll re-establish this trail, so she walks down the middle of it confidently. She is a bit more limber now, being back in her element. The walk is difficult; large roots rise from the ground and the darkness makes it hard to see them.

Aderyn was able to keep up quite well, easily stepping over the roots, though she did fall once or twice when she didn't see when. "So, where are we going?" She was curious, but not worried about where Freina was leading her.

Freina: "Well, the first thing we'll come across is the lake; we can go for a swim if you want. After the lake, we'll have to find a new trail. If you look at the map you were given with your ticket, you'll see a mass of rocks on the eastern side of the island; that's where we're going eventually." The trees don't show any sign of thinning but Freina pulls aside the greenery to reveal a pristine, spring-fed lake. The waters are clear, showing the emerald green bottom. There is a sweet smell in the air. Freina walks to the edge of the lake where a large, flat stone sits and drops her bag. She doesn't seem to remember that she hadn't asked you if you wanted to swim, but takes off her outer layer of clothes and dives in. 👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Being scared of swimming in deep water, Aderyn decides to pass. Instead, she slips of her shoes to go wading in the shallower water, choosing not to go past her knees.

Freina: "Make sure you dunk your head in; you need to smell as natural as possible if you want to sneak up on something."

Aderyn looks back nervously at Freina, but desides to take her advice. She quickly strips her outer clothes off, dunks her whole body in, and quickly returns to dry land. She starts drying off once she's there, shivering. "Ghh...The water's freezing!"

Freina: "You can warm up on the rock or we can go right away and you can warm up on the way."

"I'll warm up on the way." Aderyn shivers a bit and quickly dries off, putting her clothes back on.
