You know I've been sitting here today wondering how I would even start thinking of a name for this baby. I knew right away when he told me male pronouns only that we'd be looking together and that this was very important to both of us.

However, I just couldn't think of something that fit. I wanted something that really represented the honor it is to even have him by my side, but also something that embodied just him as he is. He seems very peaceful, and the writing on him gives me a certain feeling about him in general. But again I just couldn't think of anything.

And then something hit me. Suddenly I thought of the words, "The Zephyr Steppes," because that's where I canon my lair to be on FlightRising. The description of the Zephyr Steppes is, "The most peaceful place in all the world. Fledgling clans and families nestle within the bushes that line each grassy steppe, and calming breezes coax hatchlings to learn to fly much earlier in their life than other dragons. These plots of terrain physically embody the first chapters of each dragon's rite to become closer to the sky."

I chose the Zephyr Steppes for my lair and call it my home because in my head, I think about it a lot, and it really does sound like a peaceful place where I'd love to live. I would love the gentle breezes more than anything, and I've often pictured lying in the grass and just looking up at the sky at the dragons flying around, everything comfortable and peaceful.

And somehow it seemed perfect for him. Like, yes the anchors are important, yes I can imagine he smells of parchment and tea and freshly cut roses and morning dew, but what really gets me is that he just..seems to be like..the true embodiment of a breeze, in himself. He feels like he is the gentle breezes that I always imagine from the Zephyr Steppes, and I imagine snuggling with him would be like picking up a cooling pad with a soft and fluffy pillowy texture.

And then going to look it up a "zephyr" is actually a gentle breeze and something about it just smacked me in the face.

So his name is going to be Zephyr, and he is a male.

And I couldn't adore him more.

Oh my gosh this baby is so perfect and precious and I'm so...omg. ;-;

So it says "always and forever," "love matters," and then "hope" is on one paw and what is the word on the other?
