Another reason I would love to see addressed in this "Mary-Sue" argument would be "SHE GETS IN THE WAY OF AKUROKU".

Bitch please. Axel, Roxas, and Xion were friends. On top of technically being nobodies therefore being unable to love Axel and Roxas had plenty of scenes together. The reason Roxas was concerned about Xion whenever she disappeared? How would you feel if one of your best friend's suddenly didn't show up to school for weeks at a time? I hope you'd be concerned otherwise you're a crappy friend, little miss fangirl. On top of that, for the pro AkuRoku shippers when Axel was at CO Roxas constantly asked "Is Axel okay?" etc. etc.
In what way is she getting in the way of a pairing that isn't even canon and will never be canon? Answer? She's not! She gets in the way of AkuRoku about as much as Kairi gets in the way of RikuSora.

Honestly, I've seen some pretty valid points that show how Xion CAN be considered a Mary Sue (and none of those had to do with the hair or outfit, but that's beside the point), and honestly, looking at it from an experienced fanfiction author's veiwpoint, she technically could be considered a Mary Sue. Even when I read the points againts her, I was like: "Yeah, I guess those are kinda true." BUT I do not believe in character bashing. In fact, I do agree with you guys, that in a sense, she helps to complete the story line. I personally like Xion, though she isn't my favorite. But there is usually at least one character in a series that people accuse of being a Mary Sue, and they have good reasons for it. Like Suki, from Avatar: The Last Airender. Over the years, she's donned the title "Mary Suki," just like Xion and her "Xarmy Suxe" title. I think character bashing is wrong, even if they do show some Sueish traits, but that still doesn't mean they don't have those traits. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is that, yes, you have good points, but the Xion haters do to. I'm not really sure where I stand, but one thing's for sure: people see things differently.

Damn straight. She's a wonderful, well-built character. I really don't see where the Sue stuff is coming from.
For one thing, she's got flaws. She isn't perfect (which is a pretty good non-Sue indicator). And she is weaker than most of the other members of the Organization--the only time she beats them is when she starts being... odd... and that really can't be ascribed to her skill. More like her only half-real nature.

I see where you're coming from, and though I am indifferent to Xion, I can also see where the haters are coming from. Not only did she have the POTENTIAL to become a Mary Sue, but the fact that many people were expecting Days to revolve more around the WHOLE of the Organization instead of this one new "filler character", were mad at her existence because she ruined Days for them. Also, her death scene was a LITTLE bit corny, you have to admit. She faded away really slowly and in a shiny manner (literally) and had the time for a speech. I'm not trying to hate on your work, I rather like your valid points, I'm just trying to show you where the haters stem from.

I Like Xion she is a great character and i can't see any of the reasoning behind one argument saying that the plot could have continued with out her. All I will say is there is not much said as to WHY roxas left the organization just that he DID. Xion is a great character and was a good addition to the story the whole game would seem slightly dull with out her in it. Just thought I'd add my two cents people can dislike her but stop dissing her as a character if you look around you will find that heaps of other characters have story's and personality similar to her's and they're very popular. I hope to as see what happens to her, Axel and Roxas and see them reunite and I'm Intrigued to see her meet Sora and co.

Don't get me wrong. Xion is pretty cool. But I wouldn't say better or worse then Namine.

The hate towards the new concepts that are included between the main titles is really not necessary. All the titles (BbS, Days, coded, and COM) included elements that bring the entire story full circle, and though they were added after the fact, the inclusion of new characters (like Xion, for Roxas's story, and Ventus, for pretty much all the main characters) solidifies the story as a whole. Sure there were a few moments of "wait, this doesn't make sense", but they're small and minor and can be ignored. Also, last time I checked, the collaborative game was made for children in mind, or at least a teenage audience. That fact alone makes the entire elements of Kingdom Hearts something of a story that has parts that can be ignored and doesn't need to be fully analyzed.
