Okay. I'll hear out the argument. These are the general reasons I've heard people claim she is one.
Then there's how I've heard what a Mary Sue is.
An overly perfect character who's all happy and so perfect you begin to hate her. Inevitably ends up with the main guy.
Xion loses her power on a frequent basis, moves from side to side, gets hurt.

But I'll hear you out. Why do you believe she is a Mary Sue, and are they actually Mary Sue components?

It's true, she appears at first glance to be one HELL of a sue. And a lost of stupid people go by that first glance and never look back. However, when you look deeper, everything you say here is absolutely true. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's had to spell things out like this.

THANK YOU. I'm so fcking sick of Xion haters. Either because "she's an unneeded sue" or "she breaks up the awesome AkuRoku!" omg... >_> it's so damn annoying...I mean it's at a ridiculous level of hate. Seriously, it's just freakin ridiculous. I can't even say the name Xion on most KH websites or I get continuously bashed for days strait. ¬_¬ c'mon people... I know Xion wasn't originally planned for Roxas's story but hey, y'know what? COMPLAINING ABOUT HER WON'T CHANGE THAT SHE EXISTED! Kay? T_T I find Xion an interesting character. Unlike most KH females (excluding Aqua, who is epic) she fights and can defend herself pretty well. Does she want all the trouble that Sora and his memories are causing? Do you people THINK she wants to be the center of attention? No, probably not. If I had random memories flowing into my brain I think i'd like to get them the hell outta there and just relax and be with my friends forever. So MY BAD for ranting but good lord Xion haters...just relax.

I can only think of two reasons people hate her.
1 She interferes with RoXAxle.
2 She is +1 female to a mostly male franchise.(and for some reason the shippers like man on man action)
I wouldn't know, but I think Axel sunk the ship himself by saying friendship and romance are two different things.

A thought just came to me. If she's a 'Mary Sue,' as some KH fans say, then WHY THE HELL DID THE CREATORS SPEND SO MUCH TIME CREATING A GAME THAT FEATURED HER?! Also, I've got a feeling that Xion's gonna make a reappearance in the series. So, STFU XION HATERS!

I'd like to clarify that I neither like nor dislike Xion. However I do think she's got Sue characteristics.
If you've read self-insert fanfiction involving Org 13 (and I've seen a lot of these Pre-Days) you'll find the Sue: is usually loved by the most attractive guys (e.g Axel/Roxas who will suffer from a case of OOC), can wield a keyblade, has no flaws, is normally the 15th/33rd/whatever member of Org 13, is adorable/beautiful, is cruelly victimized by the antagonists, normally passes out dramatically, worrying the love interest/s and (sometimes) dies a tragic death.
Xion is the fourteenth member of Organization THIRTEEN (although it's established she isn't a true member). She's adorable. She made friends with Axel and Roxas incredibly quickly. Riku was fighting her one minute and brushing her hair out of her face the next. She faints or goes into a coma and they all worry. Saix bullies her. She wields a keyblade and dies tragically in the arms of a loved one. Riku drags Roxas, against his will, back to DiZ but gives her time for no real reason (putting his best friend at risk, no less), making him OOC. She doesn't have flaws. Sure, she gets a bit down sometimes but only because she worries she's useless to somebody else, which isn't a flaw. She fits the bill.
They don't dislike her for wearing a uniform or for wielding a keyblade. They dislike her because they've basically read her story again in the form of countless fanfics, and now suddenly it's canon. They dislike her because she doesn't bring anything new to the plot. I mean we established Roxas left because of the keyblade and Sora's memories. Now suddenly Xion was the reason. As much as I don't mind her, I have to admit that if they took Xion out of the plot you wouldn't really miss anything.

P.S. I don't see why I should apologise to a fictional character for acknowledging she's a bit useless, that I've seen her character countless times and the plot didn't need her.

I wouldn't say it changed, it's just she followed the same criteria of a lot of Sues that were floating around on places such as FF.net pre-Days.
Did I say the game was ooc? I thought I just said Axel/Roxas tend to suffer from ooc (although I wouldn't say so in the case of the game, it was Riku who suffered slightly).

I accept that she's not an official member of the Organization as she wasn't given a title or command over a type of Nobody like the rest of the members. To them she was just a puppet, created for their own purpose and nothing else. But I'm not a hater, she's a brilliant character and even though she's been forgotten, her role was important.
I prefer her to Kairi at least, I like Kairi too so don't get me wrong - but everyone goes on about how important she is to Sora (which is fine

Here's some good news. I love Xion, and I hate it that others call her Mary Sue.
Rant time: She is NOT Mary Sue! She is Xion. She is a member of the Organization. You wear the black cloak, you are a member of Organization XIII. Even if she wasn't a replica, she is with the Organization.
They sometimes flame her for slamming Xigbar. Well, it was for her own self-defense! It's not like she was just going to stand there and let him have his way with her in Wonderland while Axel was helplessly looking on.
