Description
A sister work of the Asura I guess. It was originally to explore expressions without having to default to the slap-on emotes that, while funny, I feel get over used and are pretty cheap when you're using them as a joke rather than something funny or witty a character did. But I couldn't find myself morphing their faces to the extremes I had in mind. I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing. I guess it became more about the extreme perspective angles than anything, I really needed that practice for faces particularly. Ah, his hair can be a little tricky. I actually like that it can differ from artwork to artwork. It's gotten more consistent as time goes on, but there are quite a few variants.
What you have here is more than fine for Vincent, so long as the hair is medium or long in length and resembles this, it should be fine.

No problem, she was fun to draw! Except her horn was really hard to get the right angle for and I think I failed that. I actually really love drawing gruesome horror and macabre things but I never really do for some reason, so it's fun to draw something that at least comes a little close. Vincent is a very sexy beast designed by although his thing with the horn, markings and the eye comes from partnership with a dragon, not a demon like I guess Iish is?

Heh. It's funny that you talk about the design that way, because much of Teca's design is based on me. I mean, I don't have purple hair and I don't have that haircut, and I don't do clothing layers... but I am short, stout, and square faced, and I do love black and purple. I guess the thing about creating a self insert character at my age is that it's easier to stop seeing who you want to be and start seeing who you actually are.
You managed to do her in that sort of anime style without making her look like a doll, a cookie cutter face. That's.. .that's really nice. But... something I've noticed when people draw her (for requests, or just on a whim, or what have you) is that they tend to soften her face, to make her nice and feminine and inviting, when really the reference picture I linked, the one I use as my icon, is about as gentle as I can imagine her face getting in public. And you drew her how I described her (and to a lesser extent, how I drew her). I respect that so much.
