I disagree, should chaos not be chaotic evil? dark elder do their thing for economic purpose and oppose chaos, or ratherΒ don't support it directlyΒ and the necrons are compelled to act due to their nature as a slave race, and so are neutral. Otherwise,Β all races seemΒ suitably placed.

Necrons, lawful evil? Other factions fight for survival or their own purposes, but the necron awake to make galactic genocides because of the burning hatred they have against all that lives. Thats their only purpose. And when its done, they go in slumber awaiting for the next genocide.
The Chaos Space Marines just live to spread chaos and disease. Dark Eldar hunt and kill for sport, but Chaos Space Marines make planet-sized rampages for no reason.
Dark Eldar seem to be saints compared to Necrons and CSM, whose purposes are just extermination and destruction.

Really the Tyranids are animals so they are working on instinct, for example a Tiger is neither evil or good it just does. The Tyranids are hive creatures and have the instinct to make sure their race survives, so they make hive worlds.

Fair enough. Still I would put the Dark Eldar under Neutral Evil and the Chaos Space Marine under Chaotic Evil. Chaotic Evil because... Well, I don't think I have to explain, Chaotic Evil defines Chaos, right? Neutral Evil for the Dark Eldar because they are ultimately selfish, don't care about no one else, and even when they ally with other races, it is for their own gain.

Neutral Good - Imperial Guard
Chaotic Good - Sisters of Battle
Lawful Neutral - Eldar
True Neutral - Tau Empire
Chaotic Neutral - Orks
Lawful Evil - Chaos Space Marines
Neutral Evil - Necrons
Chaotic Evil - Dark Eldar

I'm not going to tread on your idea, but this is what i would've done
Eldar: Lawful Good, they usually don't place themselves in war unless it's necessary you know like fighting the necrons or stopping an invasion of a tyranid swarm.
Neutral Good: Tau, since they have some pretty fucked up ways to do things like sterilization but they are willing to convert others into their system
Chaotic Good: Space Marines ...Zealots

Chaotic Evil - I Agree with
Lawful evil and Neutral evil should be switched however
Chaos: Lawful evil because they also convert the strong into their ranks
Necrons: Are Neutral evil because they not only serve the will of c'tan but also they think they're giving a gift of death which they maybe because of their state in their metal bodies.

Nooooot quite. Β They were a failed Eldar experiment. Β The Ethereals were actually Eldar modified to be more Tau-like, thus why they live so long. Β The Tau were an attempt to create a Chaos-resistant race. Β Apparently they failed.

Late to the party here. Very. But I think its a reasonable perspective on chaos as a whole. Khorne in the orginal fluff was unquestionably lawful evil. No honor in the killing of the weak or defensless. Old fluff Kornates would be be executed or worse for offering such unworthy skulls. Also Nurgle followers always have offered quarter similar to Pirates of the Caribean Davy Jones. "Do ye fear death?". Heck, even the murdering new comers the Crimson Slaughter kill every living soul but do not revel in torture. The corpses are violated by the Voices after the fact. Tzeech could careless unless it factors into the grand design. Slaneesh, yes chaotic evil....... hence why the Dark Eldar......the same said exeno that created him,her,it are holding your coveted Chaotic Evil slot. I enjoyed reflecting on the choices made. Eh, the Tau are closer to True Neutral, edging into neutral Evil. All forces of Chaos are in Chaotic Evil territory. And either the SM are lawful Neutral like the IG, or the IG are Lawful Evil like the SM.

Necrons are Lawful evil? Their declared goal is the extermination of all living beings. And Lawful Neutral Sororitas? They would burn a planet as soon as they think it has heretic tendencies. I don't think you can apply DnD Alignments to the Warhammer universe. Most all races are chaotic douchebags.
