Nautilus pompilius... and now to something completely different...
Never was very excited about wildlife or zoo photography, but... You see the 500 million years old Nautilus (population falling), usually living in depths of 400 to 600 meters. Fascinating creature. This shot was made under worst circumstances: dimmed aquarium in the lovely Zoo in Leipzig, dirty plexiglass and kids with icecream around my feet, no tripod and ISO 1600...

I'm usually not keen on any aquarium/zoo pics either, but I guess with a nautilus you can be excused. Hanging out in a few hundreds of metres hoping to see them could be a little difficult to achieve... beautiful shot

They're related to the octopus and squid, but both of them lost their shells. I love these guys, nature at it's best for sure.
