This wig is for my friend ~!She did all the black sharpie-work on the wig, cut off some of the length, and then handed it off to me to style.
I don't have a picture of what it looked like originally.
Like half of all anime characters, Fakir has crazy-implausible hair. Srsly.
His hair= LAYERS, VOLUME, POOF.

This wig is a big TEASE. Literally.
In an attempt to get the volume I wanted I kind of teased the bottom layers of the wig, especially in the back and a little on the sides. (I had no idea if teasing would work or if it would damage the wig because its not real hair, but I think it's okay! XD; )
I hairsprayed all the teased areas so it would stay. The huge front bang is also teased like crazy underneath.
It wouldn't hurt to do more teasing on the sides of the wig...which I might do.
I also am going to mess with the ponytail a little more too. Maybe give it some layers or something. Or at least attempt to.
To be more accurate in my wig test photos I should have cut one of my sleeves. hurhurhur. At least I darkened my eyebrows.
Poor Fakir, I make fun of him too much.
And I can't remember where I found that reference picture....but if I find it again, I'll credit. It's not like there are THAT many Princess Tutu screencap sites out there. XD;

Since I've done it twice, I'd be more likely to take a third commission. What's your price range for a commissioned wig? I can tell you if it matches with what I'd have in mind as far as charge goes.

Less $100 if you can manage it. I am more than willing to pay a high price for a good quality wig (my friend's Envy wig cost her $300)

Personally I'd put it in the $80 range. (Not including the wig price itself--$80 for styling only.) It's a trickier wig to style than you think but still not ridiculous like some wigs.

Let me check back with my crew to see when it needs to be done by. My friend wants to cosplay Ahiru and is going to try making her own costume. I will also hunt around ebay for a possible wig (something like this, but its very long: [link] ) Would $150 sound reasonable? Should cover the wig, styling and shipping.

Okay yeah let me know and I can tell you if I can get it done in that amount of time. A wig like that would be fine. Having it too long is better than having it too short because I can always cut long wigs. Any wig with short bangs would be bad/hard to work with. If we go through with this commission, I can help scout out wigs with you too.

Yeah black is usually a default. I'm glad my friend wanted to go with dark green too because I wanted to try to be as accurate as possible! xD

I am sorry, as of now I do not take commissions! (Partly due to not knowing about prices as well as what I'd do about shipping---also partly because of time.)

Yeah she pretty much just started coloring it black with a sharpie--just sat there and colored. Then she would wash it out, let it dry and re-color anything that didn't stay.
She probably did that twice before it stuck. Though when I was styling it a lot of it got off on my hands. D:
I also recommend the FW ink method now--I think it's easier and faster then sharpies.

I'm currently working on a Fakir cosplay, and I'm debating whether I should style the wig or not. You did an excellent job with this and I'm afraid I will mess up if I try it myself

The nice things about wig mess ups is that many can usually be fixed. like, as long as you don't cut the wig too short.
