I really fancy this piece. Especially the hard contrasts between shades and such. and the choice of colours, of course. Nice texture too. BOOM.
Anatomy is good as well.

Mmm, wow~ Very vivid, very dynamic. Wonderful job ^_^

It reminds me quite a lot of Mad Max II, as well -- is there a deliberate reference here?

yep, you're right. it was made for a game mod with a post-nuclear type setting, very much inspired by the mad max/road warrior kinda movies.

this has a wonderful painterly quality about it. the fact that there are lots of bright flat colors, almost animated, helps here too...

iunno. i usually am pretty constructive but i got nothin right now. very bright and energetic. its great.

do you use custom brushes in photoshop? if so id like to know what the settings are. unless thats cheating of course.

thanks! for ps, i used this brush which i made to try and emulate painters oil pastel brush. it was crappy, though. so i usually stick with painter for that kind of stuff. the other ps brushes are just variations the presets already there, but i usually like to set the " spacing" to a low number.

haha, nope.. doesn't help. Just leaves me wondering "how the hell does he do that?" five times more than usual ;P

/me agrees with switched .. except that the background kinda reminded me of Roadrunner cartoons
But yeah, two words that spring out to me are 'confident' and 'effortless'.. like it just looks as though every little brushstroke was put down with such strong conviction.. it's just incredible. I love the sense of action in this piece too.. like it was captured at the perfect moment. The colours are so beautifully vivid too.
Even the little fox design on the buggy rules

Oh, my, gawd. Your art is always brilliant but I just love this one to death. I think it's because of the bold strokes and colour you use. They look just like real paintings. Im so insanely jealous. I can just about taste the dirty and feel the heat from the action. So amazing Oh, and of course,

ah, this is the best I've seen from you in a while

I love the whole scene, you get a great feel of motion while standing still... The buggy is my fav part of the pic, although the entire scene makes me wonder "Who's the good guy?"

cool piece. dunno what to say about the amount of detail...the one thing I have always liked about your paintings is the raw style, and this is more detailed and softer on the edges...but it's good.
