I cannot even express how excited I am to share this with all of you guys! For my class, Advanced Graphic Design, we were supposed to redesign a product's packaging/appearance/logo. But instead of "redesigning," I asked my professor if I could create the cover for a potential remastered trilogy of the Spyro the Dragon series. Let's face it... We all wish that there was a game like this. Sure, you can get the original Spyro games from the PlayStation Network, but don't you all wish there was an official cover with a blu-ray disc that contained all the remastered versions of the games? Yeah. That's what I thought.So here it is! I used my "Eye of the Dragon" graphite drawing with some photoshopped hues to give it more intensity and pop for the cover.

I think Skylanders has a decent concept and is a fair game on its own besides it being a money maker but the developers said they were making a game that went back to Spyros origins, they did not. I fully disagree putting Spyro, Cynder and Sparx in the games. Its not an old school Spyro game at all, they didn't even get his look right. Spyro is about collecting gems and saving dragons. I don't mind the Legend series but if they wanted to make an old school Spyro game then make one (maybe a sequel to the third game), with Insomniacs help and no Skylanders BS. I think they realized what they done and didn't name anymore sequel's after Spyro since including him in the first was an epic fail. What they should have said was they are making another reboot then some of us wouldn't be so tender. At least Legends didn't make him look like a gremlin. That's my short version rant on Skylanders.
You know Activision cancelled a CG Spyro movie and instead we got Skylanders...........nuff said. Β Β

Lawl... Yeah... Calling it Spyro's adventure and then having Spyro look like a secondary character on the friggin cover of the game was a big mistakeΒ on their part as well..... sooooo stupid. yeah. i want to see insomniac get their famous characters back. they were nothing without spyro...
and i remember being totally excited for that spyro movie!! i was hopping for days!!! but yeah. then it kept getting pushed back and pushed back until they were like "jk guys. not gonna happen".... such bs.... lol!
but hey... i know ppl in Germany are working on a Sly Cooper movie (though i wish they would change a number of things already >.<) and i believe they are about to bring out their Ratchet and Clank movie as well

Yeah i've heard of a Ratchet and Clank movie. Its supposed to be based off the Future series. If it gets canceled I will laugh.Β
But yeah I agree that Spyros Adventure was a mistake. Me I just ignore that Spyro, Cynder and Sparx are in Skylanders, im like sure I will play the game if I ever have enough friggin money but Spyro isn't included. Insomniac needs to do these beloved characters justice. I DEMAND A REAL OLD SCHOOL SPYRO GAME of course you as the cover designer...US FANS NEED OUR NOSTALGIA!! SPYRO NEEDS TO BE BROUGHT BACK!!! but hey! speaking of insomniac!!!! they came out with a new game that looks friggin AMAZING!!!!! it's called Sunset Overdrive... im just super sad that its only for the Xbox One

I actually hated the roller coaster at first. I was expecting something more spectacular for the finale. I think the infinite superflame is pointless and watching the cutscenes are kinda dumb, but it did enjoy the relaxing feel and seeing the dragon statues reminded me of the first game. I think I would go with the dunk tank it felt good to dunk those earthshapers and that duck chef.
I've heard of Sunset Overdrive didn't look into it though, been into the Elder Scrolls.Β

oh yeah. im so glad im not the only one who was a bit disappointed at the ending XDDD i was hoping dragon shores would be this outstanding awesome sauce place that we could do extra special stuff in... and then to get EVERYTHING done to only get that forever powerup... i was like.... i can only use this if i play it again (i mean i did play it again but i never actually played with the powerup....) yeah... i was sad at that but... idk. haha....
you should definitely look it up. it looks awesome! but yeah. i can understand how the Elder Scrolls would take up time XD

I always wished the bonus world would be this awesome realm that you can fly around have fun and possibly play as all the characters you meet (Have all powerups, minigames, a lush beautiful world and a character select option). Too bad I had to wait till Dawn of the Dragon...for the flying at least. The powerup I thought was useless you already did everything so whats the point. Can you start a new game with the powerup? Idk same as you I thought it would be something amazing for all your hard work getting 100%. The third game was alright but I still wished I could play as Hunter or Bianca. Insomniac should take some suggestions from fans.

Yeah! I mean... when i played the last part and was disappointed, ill be honest and say that i had no idea how to make it better... i couldn't think of anything. i just felt like they should have done... SOMETHING. haha! but yeah. it's said that once you beat spyro the first round all the way to the powerup, you're "supposedly" able to play the next round with the powerup throughout the whole thing. i mean... that's cool... but i think i just deleted over it. it's been awhile XDD
but that sounds pretty awesome! playing all those characters... but let's be honest... it was playstation 1... im sure trying to get all those characters to be playable would have taken way too much memory and effort XDDD BUT HEY! that's what a REMAKE IS FOR, RIGHT?!?!? XDDD

Yes I agree it would take up a lot but like you I feel their should have been more....creativity. Its supposed to be a bonus world not a regular level. I think all of us fans would love a remake, sequel or an HD remake.Β

HEY IDEA!!! You, me or us both can make a spyro comic continuing from Year of the Dragon or from any of the originals or a prequel. It would be like the movie we never got.
