I cannot even express how excited I am to share this with all of you guys! For my class, Advanced Graphic Design, we were supposed to redesign a product's packaging/appearance/logo. But instead of "redesigning," I asked my professor if I could create the cover for a potential remastered trilogy of the Spyro the Dragon series. Let's face it... We all wish that there was a game like this. Sure, you can get the original Spyro games from the PlayStation Network, but don't you all wish there was an official cover with a blu-ray disc that contained all the remastered versions of the games? Yeah. That's what I thought.So here it is! I used my "Eye of the Dragon" graphite drawing with some photoshopped hues to give it more intensity and pop for the cover.

oh yeah man! actually. i was at an old game store last summer and i bought the ripto's rage one for $5. obviously the guy wasn't up to date on how hot those items are XD then again... it wasn't in the BEST of shape but i almost didn't care. i also got the heroes tail and crash team racing one for 5 bucks each too. but i guess they aren't original.... ooh i wanna get my hands on one of those!!!!

The should so do this, but I think the name would be different since to me when I hear "spyro trilogy" I think of the TLoS

I understand the confusion, but i think the HD remixes are only for the originals of the series so it would make sense that only the original Spyros would be made into a new HD set for PS3.

I understand that, I would love that too. But I think they could do is with TLoS too since the first two games are for PS2 so I think I think it just should have a different name than "trilogy" because there are more than one spyro trilogy.Β
Other than that I love the idea and this you did I great job on the design. And I love the cover art

That's freakin amazing man. Just recently got a ps3 for Christmas and my first game was the jak and dexter trilogy. I would do anything to get that game if it ever came out Spyro has been my life

Oh yeah!!! i was really tempted to get the Jak and Daxter trilogy but i figured it wasn't worth it because i already have all those games on the ps2 (thanks to my sister being a HUUUUGE fan of those XD) but yeah. Spyro would ROCK! wish people would see that >.< thanks for the comment! ^_^

Yeah my dad bought me the first one on ps2 because he knew I liked to Β play crash bandicoot so wen I bought jak 2 I'm like sweet another one but man I was surprised at first I didn't like it but eventually I warmed up to it. It's a great trilogy and the graphics on the ps3 r just amazing. If u really do like jak and dexter and u have a ps3 I Wud say to buy its worth the money for the enjoyment..plus they keep everything exactly the same and don't change anything.

huh. that IS good to know. i remember playing the first one and then i stopped after awhile. sly cooper got me hooked so i waltzed onto a different gaming path XDDD i always wanted to get back into it but my sister was like "NO!!! HISSSS" hahah! but yeah. i may have to get that trilogy then. who knows when she'll let me touch the games XDD

lol thats funny sounds like my younger sis haha yeah its a great game. trust me ive watched videos of the gameplay of this one guy and hes said getting all the side missions doen in jak 2 is impossible but ive done...btw if uve heard of jak 4 the final frontier its ok but they really left the jak era with this one....but anyway yeah ive completed all 4 and have gotten many hours of joy out of everyone its a nust get and fun must play if u can afford it

yeah. i'm sure i would enjoy the jak series just because it is my type of gaming (the adventure, third person, free world). but yes. my sister has all the jak games XDD the 4 and the racing game as well. i got some game for the PS3 Move that is called "PlayStation Heroes" and it has jak, daxter, sly cooper, bentley, racket, and clank

The eye in the cover, man. What am I looking at, THE MOON?

It's pretty obvious that it's an eye due to the contextual surface around it. But at the same time, the "pupil" is the silhouette of Spyro which I used as a surreal concept. Even if it reminds you of the moon, I guess that could be an interesting solution due to the fact that that silhouette comes from the image of Spyro rising up in front of the moon. I still don't see that as awkward, however.

But really, I actually think of the three, if they took Year of the dragon, put a lot of time in improving the controls of the other characters and into improving the minigames, raised the resolution, it would be EPIC!
Plus, DLC skateboard parks. It'd be better than Tony Hawk.

Hahaha!!! That would be totally epic. Yes, it would definitely take a while to remaster these games, but it would be SO worth it. There's a real marketplace out there for these if people would just notice us! LOL! They would be super amazing!

Wasn't YotD reales nine months after Ripto's Rage? I am just saying, because the game is fun, but it is hit or miss with the extra characters and minigames.
If Someone put effort to repair such things and just make it look slightly better (I'm not even asking level textures, just improve the characters models and movements), It would be awesome, especially if released on a portable game thingy.Β
