Description
After trying screenshot-manipulations I ended up playing with photographs, and made this zombie/skull-deer. My first photo manipulation that I actually like, omg. o_OEh, I´m sure everyone is sick of my TEF- stuff already, I´m sorry.
It´s supposed to be this little guy: i153.photobucket.com/albums/s2…
All used photos taken by me.

this is gorgeous! and very, very well done. he's like some kind of forest spirit, as i see; not so much zombie for me.
lovely work, and i adore an all-original manipulation. they're not common or easy.

Thank you!
I actually like a lot that fores spirit- interpretation, even though it has zombie-like face... actually it´s just wearing a skull over its face.
These kind of manipulations are fun to do, I wasn´t actually very interested of them because they felt a bit un-creative until I figured out how to build completely new creatures. Thanks for you kind words. <3

there are plenty of uncreative ways to go about something, but this is not one of them! i do know what you mean though. people who just put two pictures together in some otherwise unremarkable way.
and you're very welcome.

I'm sorry, but these are a utterly fabulous idea. I love the colors and how the fur looks. Just amazing, great job.

Wow that's great! How did you do that? (I'm pretty much wondering what's a photo manipulation? Just editing the photos?)

Thanks you.
I guess it´s something like that, but by editing you just make changes to a photo like changing contrast/colors/cropping, but by manipulating you make something new by putting pieces of images together... I think atleast that that´s the difference between the two.

That looks amazing! My only quibble would be that the forest in the background looks slightly faded compared to the foreground, but I way prefer this to most of the glossy, over-shiny manips you see around. Looks very much like the character. Great work!

Thank you! <3
Yeah, the forest is a bit lighter than the fore-ground, but I actually did that on purpose.... was trying to get "depth" and animal to pop out better... not sure if I lightened it a bit too much though, there´s even a bit of "mist". Hmm.
Glad that someone as taleted as you likes this, thank you. <3

Me? Well, I suppose that makes us even! I was honoured that someone as talented as YOU liked MY work! XD
Yeah, getting the lighting/ depth right in a photo-manip is always a pain. Maybe trying to give the foreground of the forest photo some more saturation or make it darker than the back ground of the forest? That might work, as it'd make the forest picture look more integrated with the piece rather than a flat background... Eh, it's not as noticable as I'm making it sound. This is still an awesome picture ^ ^ *hugs*

Heh, that makes "honor" for both of us, then.
You´re right about the depth, I just realized that I SHOULD have made foreground darker than the trees farther away. I was probably going to, but forgot. Thanks for reminding me, we´ll see if I get it fixed later... or if I forget again.
