Hi everyone!

I am once again holding the competition I held early last year to boost additions to the Adventures of Texas interactive (link below!), and the rules are simple: [b]whoever adds the best chapter to the Texas Interactive between now and 11:59pm (AEST) on Monday the 31st of January, will receive a free animation request from me.[/b] That request will be for two characters, may optionally have a static background, and will be 100 frames or less, giving it a 10 second runtime. To be clear, by the 'best' chapter added I don't necessarily mean the best written! The judging will be entirely personally biased, and the winner will be my personal favourite chapter added between now and the end date. That is the only criteria! It has to be the chapter that I personally like the most. There is no limit to the number of chapters that you can add (the more the merrier, I say!), but chapters will be considered on an individual basis. The winning addition could end up being a bad end, an incredibly nice buildup to a choice, a scene leaving Texas in peril, or even just taking the story in a direction that I like! Though in any case, I'd advise reading the guidelines on the sidebar when adding a chapter to make sure you're on the right track.

There will also be prizes for second and third place! The second-place winner will receive a short, looping animation, 10 frames or less, with two (possibly three) characters max, and a background. Here was last year's second place prize: www.deviantart.com/squashedfla…

The third place winner will receive an animation swap-out from the game. This is where I take one of the 'mid' sections of a game animation (the looping section where you have to mash the arrow keys to escape), and put your character in Texas's position. To clarify, this prize only applies to the struggle portion of an animation, not the setup or KO. Here is the example of that from last year: www.deviantart.com/squashedfla…

As some final points of order, the story is already a little bloated with starting choices already, so I would advise adding to a storyline in progress, or creating your own villain in the 'Create a Villain' section rather than adding a new storyline branching off from chapter 1. This is just my recommendation, and I won't be enforcing it in any way. Additionally, once this competition is complete, I will be going through and removing some portions of the interactive. Poorly written chapters, badly translated chapters or storylines that don't go anywhere will be deleted once the competition is complete. I wouldn't worry too much about it though, because I doubt I'll have the heart to delete much.
