Description
I get folks asking what my settings for inking in SAI are pretty often, so I thought I should take a handy dandy screenshot instead of trying to explain it over and over.So yes, these are my settings. I tend to ink with a 20pt brush for the most part, but I like using a 9pt for smaller details.
Also, I'd like to point out that the drawing is zoomed in 100%, so the lines tend to look a bit pixely. I always draw HUGE so when I downsize the file, the lines end up smooth, clean, and crisp.
Edit, because people were seriously confused: This screenshot is old and looking back I don't even remember why I have the pencil tool there instead of the pen tool. They are basically interchangeable after fiddling with the settings, though. For the record, I reinstalled SAI a bit ago and now use the pen tool with these settings.
Feel free to ask any questions if you'd like further explanation :3

Hello! I'm curious to know what canvas size you generally use ? Do you draw on large scales similar to 3000X4000 and then downscale the final result or do you just draw on 1000x1500 pixels?

Woo hoo, I will stop using the Linework layers for making the lines of my drawings. Now I just need to stop my hand from twitching that much.

I have a question or two to ask...
This is done on the linework layers, right? Well, on my linework layers, it can't adjust the quality (It's stuck on 1-Fastest) and it's being a real pain in the neck. Any suggestions?

In SAI the linework layer only allows you the tool that it is designated for.
So the pentool that is shown above is not used.
In order to use the regular pen tool, and the pen setting above.
You need to just create a new, normal layer tus you can se this custom brush setting.

This looks like such a great inking brush to use, but when I opened SAI and put those setting on my 'pen' tool for some reason my tablet won't register that I'm putting less pressure or not so i just get one big bulky line no matter what I do. I was wondering if you had any idea what's going on (if it's my tablet or some setting I couldn't find isn't right D: )
I had no problem with the pressure and size settings when I used SAI two days ago and I've been researching an answer but I haven't found one yet >.< and no matter which tool I use now or what settings, the line is always the same size :/

I did those settings exactly like that and in the exact order shown, but is still looks real fuzzy on the outside of the line i drew
Is there something I missed not shown here? Sorry for bugging you, I'm just confused as to why it isn't working
