Description
Had myself a little "art jam" of sorts on my last night visiting WA, drew this as a result. Man, I hadn't drawn Venusaur since I was like... 10 or something? Was never a favorite of mine until recently; Veusaur has really grown on me in the last year or so.This took FOR-EV-ER to color. I forgot how much fun coloring traditionally could be, but I also forgot how much work it can be!
Edit: for those wondering, I inked this with colored Staedtler triplus fineliners, and colored it with Crayola colored pencils and markers :3

This looks awesome! Such a great rendition of Venasaur! Never much of a favorite of mine either, but I have warmed up to the Bulbasaur line more.

Haha! I'm in the same situation. I used to be meh about Venusaur, then my friend gave me one and I'm in love with it.
I love how bumpy he is <3
You did this with Crayola? Oh man. I'd give up, I break those all the time.

I've found if you make sure you like... NEVER EVER bang crayolas around or drop them, the leads won't break when you sharpen them :3

Wow! I was thinking something like "what the..." when I saw this. Fushigibana looks more monstouis and more like a dinasaur like it's name in the U.S version suggest. Anyway, this is very cool. ^ ^

Sharkspecial took the words right out of my... fingers. This is absolutely stunning, and exponentially so due to its traditional creation.
I do like that Venusaur looks more like an amphibian here, and your choice of colors are fantastic. Kudos.

YOU INSPIRE ME TO MAKE TRADITIONAL ART. Not that I could ever achieve anything like this, but the fact that it's POSSIBLE, with crayola colored pencils?!....amazingly inspirational.
I'm especially fond of how SLIMY and frog-like you really make him look. How the heck did you give it such incredible texture without Photoshop? Sign of a true artist, clearly.
And do you just have a really good scanner or something? Because this looks pristine.
