Had myself a little "art jam" of sorts on my last night visiting WA, drew this as a result. Man, I hadn't drawn Venusaur since I was like... 10 or something? Was never a favorite of mine until recently; Veusaur has really grown on me in the last year or so.This took FOR-EV-ER to color. I forgot how much fun coloring traditionally could be, but I also forgot how much work it can be!
Edit: for those wondering, I inked this with colored Staedtler triplus fineliners, and colored it with Crayola colored pencils and markers :3

The key to coloring with Crayola is to lightly build up your shades for texture, then press hard in areas you want to blend. One of these days, I'll make a tutorial :3
And oh god, no... the scanner I used was on its last legs; sounds like a meat grinder when I use it xD I had to use a lot of adjusting in CS4 to get it to look anything like the original, which still looks better.
