Loving the patterns and textures, especially on the big fish. Also, that shine effect is very interesting. The first thing that comes to mind is painted wooden fish like fishermen use for bait. These guys look very three-dimensional.

Thank you so much! The big fish are my favorite too. The effect happened by accident after I started using tinted craft paper/craft envelopes (an art/craft paper sale at Michaels started it all.)

WOW!!!! I just love this!!! You caught the wet shininess of the fish, perfectly, they look so alive!!! What do you do with your drawings? Do you ever sell them, show them?

Thank you so much! I usually hold on to my drawings and sometimes I give them away. For showing, I think I've only shown my drawings a couple of times for my local art club's shows, but that's when I was still a member and before work got in the way.
Selling them is hard to do since I have no idea how to price them and I'm still deciding whether or not to use DA's printing...
yup, I'm a scaredy cat!

Your welcome! No, You're not a scaredy cat, your way is just fine!! I'm not sure how printing would work, unless your photo or (forgot the word) is a true color of your drawing. I took a digital painting I did for my friends birthday and had it printed at my local printers, just to see how it would look. ...I put the image on a CD , and the cost of having it printed was something like $3.00 . I supplied the kind of paper I wanted. This is a local printer, not a chain. Anyway it was exactly how I painted it. I would try that way, before DA, if you decide to make some prints and sell them.

Thank you so much for the information! I thought about going to the local printers, but they seem to be few and far between, yet there's a local Kinkos/fedex place, but I may have to check their work first. I might bring an original drawing and supply the paper to print it on since it's small and I'll get to see how it comes out. I remember reading some watercolor artists taking in their pencil drawings and having them printed on watercolor papers they supplied. That's a beautiful portrait of Minnie!

You're welcome!! Check them all, and bring a heavier paper, yes because otherwise it is the thin stuff, not good for these kinds of prints. Anyway, let me know if you do and how they work out for you!!! Using watercolor paper can also change the way your drawing looks, if the paper is rough enough. Experiment if you can, till you find something that works!!
And thank you! Her mom has it hanging in the living room.
