Description
Reefs 5myh are made primarily of sponges, corraline algae, and hypnea algae while the gorgonians and zoanthids are more secondary due to lack of mineralized skeletons. Algaes now grow much larger than their Earth counterparts and mainly take niches analogous to tabling corals. Meanwhile sponges are now analogous to staghorn and brain corals. However this may all change soon, some zoanthids are now incorporating a mineralized skeleton beneath their polyps for encrusting capability and gorgonians in rapid flowing environments have grown stronger skeletons to not be blown by the waves. Soon corals may become the dominant reef builders once again. This is for my seeded world where the biggest animals are gorgonians, zoanthids, sponges, and golden jellyfish
