Wooo another big one!Not the most creative take on the prompt, but dammit, I wanted to draw a sexy tango!
I referenced their pose from a stock photo that i'll probably never find again. I ended up going through hundreds of pictures, just to find the perfect poses. I like this one on account of the sexy legs and the intimacy and just the general feel to it.

Everyone draws older Toph all stocky, and she should be curvy.

Thanks so much. I'm super fond of Toph's dress - I basically came up with the design. Sokka's hat was a PAIN to do, but worth it in the end.

This one's absolutely gorgeous of the two of them. And you really got the emotions down, right to a T. Sometimes when stock photos are used, it doesn't always come across, but this is just so emotive--you did a great job.

I tried not to use the stock photos as references for their expressions - I can do those well enough on my own. And I didn't harp on being perfectly in tune with the photo.
I'm thinking about going back and trying to redo Toph's face though, because it bothers me....

It wasn't so much keeping the image the same as the photo I was refering to, but rather the fact that sometimes when a photo is used the end result is stiff and doesn't have the same movement. You avoided that situation altogether, by keeping the characters moving even in stillness. Making it feel like we're seeing a snapshot in time.
I wasn't trying to say that you copied the photo reference or anything like that, if that's what is sounded like. *shrugs and smiles* I apologize.
Keep working on things until you get them the way you want them to be. No worries. That's one of the good things about coloring digitally.

Lol, no it didn't come off like I was copying. I just thought you meant the emotion of the expressions. But I'm glad that you think I kept the body movement alive as well.

Aww, thanks! I worked really hard on a lot of those things and am really pleased with the results. Also I love drawing hair most of all I think, so it usually turns out rather pretty.
