I am so sick of seeing people here talk about how much DeviantArt sucks. No one is making you stay here. Feel free to go to another site.Let those who actually enjoy being here stay. We don't care about your first world problems.

The problem, especially NOW... is that there's not really a whole lot of viable alternatives...
And "not being forced to stay" is also kind of not true.
No, the staff don't make you sign some agreement or blackmail you to stay, but you tend to become trapped.
Many want to leave, but they can't or won't, and for good reason...
1. Lose all you submitted/postsed
2. Lose an assortment of contacts
3. Lose various correspondence from others
4. Lose everything you liked/collected from others...
etc...
Leaving sites like this or closing accounts in the end, isn't an option, because you lose EVERYTHING associated with that account. And then you still have to find a good alternative. DA,youtube,facebook, all basically don't have any solid competitors. That's why very few people actually leave, but a whole lot sure do complain.
A lot of people either want to leave, and they don't have a good place to go. A lot of people do not want to leave, but they feel completely mistreated and ignored.
DA's staff needs to listen to their communities, and same applies to facebook and youtube. (and everywhere/everyone else) , but...with these companies and sites effectively being monopolies, their userbase and customers are putty in their hands, to be manipulated and outright abused as is seen fit.
That's just my input...
I can understand at least why many don't leave... in actuality, there is no choice, it's "stay and put up with bullshit" , or "leave, and lose everything you have here".
I try to see with the "put up or shut-up" thingy, but it's hard to do, as this overlooks the underlying causes of people to not actually do something. Often they feel powerless, or in actuality, are. Love it or hate it, there's no place to go besides DA, really. Only true way to get-out of the problems of being a member on these sites is to never join them in the first place. Otherwise, you'll find yourself trapped eventually when things start turning in directions you don't like.
If anything, the fact SO MANY people complain and threaten to leave is a good indicator how crappy the site has become... Personally, nothing yet makes me flat-out ready to leave, but it concerns and annoys me, for sure. I certainly have nowhere else to go if things do take a turn for the absolute worse.

just calmly explaining the situation from my perspective and of those who hate/"hate" DA
and there's no reason people should be expected to put up with the shit that's happening or just leave
DA's staff should be expected to treat the community and its inputs with respect, which is something they've failed to do for a while, now

I have my problems with DA, I mainly dislike it because of the admins fail to moniter the site on a daily basis and keep order.
but everything needs to be critized, if people have problems with the site they have the absolute right to complain about it, but it gets a tad ridiculous eventually if no one is going to fix it.
The site is fine for my purposes, but it does need fixing in some areas.

It's a real irritation, they never really give any good reasons. It's mostly as I said before how they keep getting their deviations removed, or because they hate the other people on DA.

Yes, when they complain about the immature children on DeviantArt. That's a peeve of mine. You cannot blame the site itself for having immature people on it.
