Description
You all know how big of a fan for neglected characters I am. This pic, my biggest one yet, mentions several different games that desperately need sequels.Bottom Row (left to right):
Coupe (the car)(Stunt Race FX)
Not a lot of people know about this old game for the SNES. This, along with the original Starfox, was one of the first SNES games to use the 3D engine (and it was still made by Nintendo). I loved this game when it first game out, and really wsh that it would be brought back.
Bubsy (Bubsy the Bobcat)
This guy has the worst luck. Bubsy 3D came out and it was horrible. That was what I think killed the franchise, because no ones done any more Bubsy games since. If anyone deserves a second chance, it's this guy.
Kablooey (thing under the sign) (Kablooey)
An overlooked game on the SNES. The object was to clear each stage of bombs while avoiding the resulting explosions. Easier said than done, because the stage crumbles with each bomb that blows. This game was hard and frustrating, but most puzzle games are, and I just found this one to be unique.
Cool Spot (Cool Spot)
I'm not sure if this guy can actually make a comeback or not, but if he could, I would love to see him back in action. I really liked the classic SNES game. For some odd reason, it just clicked for me.
Anti-Uni (white unicylce) (Uniracers)
Another overlooked game made by Nintendo. The entire game was a racing game on tracks that, for the most part, just stayed on one long line going in flips and jumps. Anti-Uni was the opponent for 1P Mode. I would really like to see Uniracers get a sequel, but I'm not sure of its chances.
Rocky Rodent (Rockey Rodent)
Yeah, you were expecting this one, weren't you? A unique game with addictive gameplay and an awesome soundtrack. I'm surprised that this game never got a sequel, because it remains as my favourite SNES game.
Middle row:
Purple Tentacle (Day of the Tentactle)
DOTT was a point-and-click adventure game like Sam & Max, and was named one of the best of its kind. Hey, if Sam & Max could get a second chance, maybe a DOTT sequel isn't as impossible as some people think.
Earl (Toejam & Earl)
Now, before any of you say it, yes, I know that our favouite funky alien duo had an Xbox game (I actually have it). However, it just didn't compare to the first two games. Towjam & Earl need a better seqel, maybe one more like Panic on Funkotron.
Top row:
Ally Gator (Black & Bruised)
How could I do a pic like this without including my favourite gaming gal? B&B was an awesome boxing game if only just for the humour that was in it. I wish more people had played that game, because then ther'd be better chance for a sequel.
Laverne (Day of the Tentacle)
See Purple Tentactle. Laverne is one of the three main heroes in the game.
Melody (Rocky Rodent)
See Rocky Rodent. Melody is actually the damsel in distress from the game.
Doh-Doh (Claymates)
Claymates is an old SNES game made by Interplay, the people that made Clayfighter. I think that the game was unique because of the ability to turn into different animals of clay. I wish this game would get a sequel...
So as you can see, the people in this pic are just as mad that they haven't gotten any sequels.

Uniracers probably would have seen some good success, and had apparently received critical praise. The thing that killed it, interestingly, was Pixar. Pixar sued the game out of existence because the design for the unicycles had allegedly been lifted from their 1987 short "Red's Dream," which focused on a sentient unicycle.

These people have every right to be angry. I imagine their fans would like to see them revitalized for the next generation as well. Heck, I myself made an idea on what I think the next Bubsy game would be.
Right here. -> [link]

i can explain the bubsy games... THEY SUCKED. that is why he is forgotten. Rocket Knight is getting a new game, so not all forgotten characters are forgotten...

Being four or five, I had always loved playing Bubsy 3D. :3 Then, I never knew of the first one, but no matter how shitty Bubsy 3D was it will always bring back good memories of playing it. Funny thing is, I don't think I ever finshed playing it...and I'm not sure what happened to it. o.O

WHY?!?! why do people hate uniracers so? That's still my favorite games after all these years! It's soooo fun, but no one ever plays it anymore... Same with Bubsy... I stopped playing his games cause well... for the 3D one. I couldn't figure out what the hell to do. My brother always got REAL far so I had no clue what to do... It's crulty to games I tell you!
oh and I came her looking for Uniracer sprites. and saw this... this realy is crulty to games... it's not fair. TT^TT poor games!

wow you know a lot about Nintendo don't you?
I'm a hardcore Nintendo fan myself, pretty crazy! Funny how you put the spot in there, it was a really really good game, but too bad it was just a big commercial for mountain dew.

Earthworm Jim suffered the same fate as bubsy (3D N64 game kill off) and he would be in that picture you did, but he is still doing okay with his old cartoon and whatnot.
And did you see the videos on youtube of someone playing Rocky Rodent?

I actually just noticed that Earthworm Jim is getting a new game, so at least someone's getting a little love.
Yeah, I saw those Rocky Rodent videos on Youtube. Too bad that one of the guys that did a playthrough did it because he hated the game. -_-

Although the water world boss was a pain, Claymates was awesome.

Yeah, I know. It took me several tries just to get close to beating that clam...
Claymates was definately awesome. Someone needs to make a sequel sometime (heck, we haven't heard from Interplay at ALL in a long time...)

Much love for Bubsy and Cool Spot! *sigh* It seems like ALL of the media I like is unappreciated.

Yeah. Those guys had really cool games, although I think Cool Spot's chances of a comeback are slim to none (I don't think 7-Up is even using him in the commercials, anymore).

To correct a mistake, Uniracers was not made by Nintendo. Rather, they were made by DMA Design, which is now -- and I'm not lying -- Rockstar North. Goo dluck seeing the game from them anytime soon.
Granted, it's my favorite of the games you listed, and one that truely deserves a sequaly, but odds are R* would try to make it 3D

Finally, someone is showing sympathy for those forgotten characters...
I recognize Bubsy, Rocky Rodent, Earl (even though I haven't played his games yet) & Cool Spot from that group.

The sad thing about a possiblity of a DotT sequel is that Lucas Arts is reluctant to do anything that doesn't involve their precious Star Wars these days.

But like I said, Sam & Max made a comback, even though it was from a different company. What's to stop DOTT from getting the same treatment?

I'm not surprised that you don't recognize Ally, though. Not a lot of people played the game she was in.

Also, I'm a Toejam and Earl fan, a Bubsy fan for in the days when his game was better (even hated ONE magazine cause it found "Clockwork Knight" to be better then Bubsy: Fractured Furry Tails" just cause the background graphics were in 3D... Wooooooo... Did anyone even NOTICE that the FOREGROUND on that game was as flat as a cheap date?)
