The first thing that caught my eye about this photo was the balcony. It seems out of place against the broken wooden windows and chipped paint. The tree, though blocking the building, doesn't take away from the photo at all, it almost blends with the balcony, and, again, looks out of place in its surroundings.
The building seems to be hidden away, though you can't see its surroundings, it just as an aura of remoteness, like someplace to be alone.
One thing that might have been interesting was to have some sort of model on the balcony. That would definitely add to the feeling of being lost. Just a thought, though.
Vision is three stars. I love this shot but as I said before, it'd be nice to see a model of some sort. Originality is five stars, this doesn't look like any other shot I've seen. Technique is five stars. Nothing wrong there, either. :] And impact, again, is five stars..This shot really left me thinking!

simple natural poetry and faded tones. This works as if the branches gave a distorting and dreamy look to that balcony - maybe the (unreliable) power of memories or nostalgia...

This photograph really strikes a chord with me. A lonely, almost sentimental chord - but the muted tones and stark contrasts catch more than my eye.

There's something very attractive about the composition and the colors. I just want to keep looking at it. I think it has something to do with the branch bringing your eye across the photo in that wave.

The building must have been gorgeuos when it was newly made and it's a shame to see it reduced to this. But somehow I find such run down houses more intriguing because they really stimulate the imagination.
