Description At the museum I work at (Naturalis in Leiden), a new temporary exhibition has started this week (Allthough it officially starts friday) and it's about whales and dolphins. The exhibition will last till August 21st 2011.

Next to several modern day cetacean skeletons, it also has a corner with skeletons of some prehistoric cetaceans and here's one of them: Pakicetus Attocki

Pakicetus was a wolf-like and wolf-sized land-based predator and is considered to be the earliest member of the whale family. It lived about 50 million years ago in Pakistan
