As I’ve said before Izuru is a challenge for me because I already love her design exactly as it is. It was hard not to just draw her again. But since she uses water dragon attacks I decided to incorporate eastern dragon-y bits into her aesthetic. And from there her design took a hard left out of Recognizable Features territory.The top and the tail are technically separate, just the same color. The Ursula-style uber tail-top never made sense to me biologically.
