"Come now Taka, I can give you everything your heart desires... if you'll just let me in.""Why is it that I don't believe a word that spews from that evil snout?" Taka turned away from the spirit and limped his body to the cool cave floor.
"Besides, you're just a spirit of trickery and malice. You don't know what I desire, how I feel, now leave me be."
The spirits eyes illuminated a nasty shade of green and a slick grin formed across his face.
"Jealousy. I see jealousy in your heart. Your brother has little time for you now? Now that he has assumed the throne and is getting ready for a family? He has little time for his worthless Taka... Much more important things to attend to... and just think, when his cubs are born you'll be the last thing that's on his mind. You'll just be left here to rot with the mice in this cave... But I can give you more... Just give me another chance Taka and you can show your brother... You can show Sarafina what your worth really is!.. besides... I helped you stand up to Ahadi didn't I?.. And well, he's not giving you a bit of trouble now... Is he Taka?"
Taka's eyes became wide with anguish as the ghost let out the most malicious laugh.
"...That burning... that hate... I'd never felt before until... That was you?.."
The spirit wrapped his body around Taka
"That is called power my dear boy... and I can give it to you once more. Just let me IN."
The spirit grew impatient by the second it seemed.

Oh thank you so much! Scar/Taka has always been my favorite just because of that little fact... Nobody knows a whole lot about him! Gives a lot of wiggle room for imagination

Throughout life, we all find the temptation to better ourselves -- one way or another! And, who better to tempt, than a lone prince desperate for love and affection? One who aches to be at the top; as he firmly believes that being 'at the top' will provide him with friends; also power!! 
Sadly, this very temptation would end in Taka's ruin...
The idea, the concept -- and indeed, the colouring, shading and mood, of this work -- is pure genius!!
