The uniform bevel width doesn't show that it starts off thick, almost axe-like in the base, transforming into a much flatter knifelike cross-section around the center of percussion and going back to a more obtuse angle for a reinforced tip. This concept is present on multiple originals - these are not crude medieval machetes, but painstakingly thought-out sidearms.
