My 1st Speechless tribute of 2024: on today's date in 2014, Larry D. Mann, the voice of Yukon Cornelius, the eccentric, wilderness-wise prospector from Rankin/Bass' 1964 holiday special Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer, passed away less than a month after his 91st birthday. Luckily, Scott McNeil had already voiced him in the special's 2001 spin-off DTV movie, Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer & the Island of Misfit Toys (where he had also voiced Hermey the misfit elf). Fun fact: Mann also originally provided the vocal effects of the Abominable Snow Monster in the same special. In fact, I've also been uploading for 4 years flat now!
Yukon Cornelius belongs to the defunct Rankin/Bass Animated Entertainment.
