Do you actually draw these out with just a brush or do you use a tool? It's so hard to make straight lines and such...

For pony I use only the pen tool. I trace from a screen shot or use one as a reference.
As for the eagle, I first draw general outline with a brush and when I like it I use the pen tool, correcting stuff on the way.
