Update: Decided to update the image since the last one was boring. I actually made this last night but forgot to replace the original picture, so the image looks a bit weird, especially Twilight.

The next morning, Shinelight and Starry went to Canterlot to visit their mother. Before they reach the throne room, their mother appeared, looking ready to attend to her duties. Instantly, she knew that her son failed while her daughter succeeded with the help of friendship.

TS: You did WHAT!?!?!
ShS: I-I'm sorry mom! I really tried! Really!
TS: You should've done better! I know you tried, but... just try better!
ShS: What's that supposed to mean!?
GA: She means that you have to do better. Should be obvious.
ShS: Well... Well! It's not for me! I know friendship is powerful and all that, but I've seen other things succeed too--
TS: That's beside the point! It's a friendship mission! You should think straight and use friendship to your advantage! And look at you now! You're embarrassing me in front of my underlings!
SG: Uhh...

The others looked concerned.

TS: I'd be fine with you trying if you really did use friendship... BUT YOU DIDN'T!
ShS: Sorry.
TS: Hmph. Sorry won't fix your mistakes.
ShS: M-mom...
TS: Don't talk! Let me attend to my duties now.

Twilight walked to Starry.

TS: Meanwhile... You did a good job. Just like always.
StS: Why did you shout at Shinelight?
TS: Because he never listens. He never understands me. Besides, he'll never be as good as you.

Shinelight listened to that. His ears flopped down.

TS: Come on, let's go everyone! Starry, you can have a talk with your brother outside your castle.
StS: A-alright.

Spike smiled and waved.

SP: Have a good time!
SG: Yeah!

The others walked out. Shinelight sat down in sadness.

ShS: *sighs*
StS: Hey... Can we talk?
ShS: Like mom said? Fine. We never had a proper conversation anyhow.
StS: That's great.

Starry had a soft smile on his face. The two walked out of Canterlot, then teleported beside their mother's--now their--castle.
