Note: I apologize if any of the artist of these next gens see this--uh. I actually like them! I'm not spiteful of them. So, please, don't get me wrong!

Eh. Another vent post I guess. Two in the same day, wow. I swear I'm not having a bad day, I just really want to talk about this stuff!

This one actually took FOREVER to draw. Like, geez! These characters have medival artist-esc manes compared to mines! It's sorta ridiculous! It got so bad and complicated to the point where everything just looks sloppy. That's why Shinelight looks weird, and Velvet doesn't have a tail and has the old mane. I was just done with life!

Anyways, to the actual post.

Yes, I still feel bitter jealousy towards other artists. Actually, the tropes I kept mentioning about next gens are less common nowadays the more I look into recent next gens. It's to the point where mine just doesn't feel so special anymore. Also, the ones I drew here are the most popular ones I know. I wanted to draw some others, but those other next gens I know are either obscure, outdated or doesn't have a pair (because I really wanted to draw with pair next gens, aka the ones with siblings).

Those other next gens... have much better and deeper plots in my opinion.

Now I've started to wonder--maybe none of this is worth it? What's the point of even creating this next gens if it's really like the others? The more I think about it, the more I just... doubt my self-worth. Should I just conform with the others like all the next gens here? I'm not making sense, am I?

I kept on thinking and comparing, thinking and comparing, and thinking and comparing. It was unhealthy. Ok, but you're probably wondering: When did this even happen? It happened during the tests while I was posting. I found lots of next gens at the time since I didn't want to draw much but wanted to look through deviantart. I even showed Moonlight Sorbet some of them (yes he's the only online friend i have that i can actually contact everyday), and it seemed he liked them. I agree with him. No dissing towards those next gens that break the mold. You do you! I just feel... not so special because of that.

I'm selfish I know.
I'm a d*ck, sorta narcissistic. Maybe not even deserving here. Hell, I'm not even that popular. Why? I'm not sure. Probably because of my sh*tty art or me being a crappy person. Some motivational people will say it's because I keep doubting myself. I don't know anymore.

Don't worry, though. I'm not actually gonna give up. I'll still believe in myself, and continue this next gen since it's my passion. Passion is what really matters, right? Non-material things don't matter, right? I hope so.

I'm sorry if I do sound like a jerk sometimes.
I'm just a kid. I don't know much even.

What I know is, this feeling will never ever go away. Not only that, but what's more heart-breaking to me is that I really was feeling this way as a kid. Moonlight told me that he remembers when I friended him (or he friended me?) I said that I'm too uncool to even be his friend, or anyone's friend. Just like that.

Don't get me wrong either. It's not because of my family. It's not because of anyone around me--maybe Twinkle, but I don't wanna talk about her (she's my first best friend, but she was extremely toxic to me). It's really an unknown reason why.

Damn that got deep. Sorry about that negativity! Hell, sorry about the negativity today. To compensate, I'll actually upload some positive stuff tomorrow (yeah the next scene will release on saturday).
