Description These are the first two pages of a perspective commission I started a few months back. The commissioner declined, I believe, because I intended for the action to take place in an Opera house, which doesn't sound cool at all. The pictures were drawn up, full scale, but to scan them in I had to shrink the originals via a cruddy Xerox machine, hence the straight lines on the second page. Comments, as always are appreciated.

I like your style a lot, Chris. It strikes me as something that would be featured in the City Paper. Very cool. Do you use ink washes or markers?

thank you!

On these bigger ones, I've only been using markers for the panel lines, everything else is brush work. I've had the past few xeroxed at Office Depot, but their copiers aren't really built for this kind of thing (large areas of greys and blacks) and print out those vertical lines. In an attempt to fix it, I've been using photoshop's smart blur filter.

Emily Flake's "Lulu Eightball", by the way, is my favorite comic strip right now.
