Somehow my poor, neglected deviant art account eeked out five thousand views. To commemorate I tried to do something that was a little polished....

I'm always fascinated with the 19th and early twentieth century technology. These may not be iPads or iPhones but your can extract their stored information simply. For instance, if you put a LP record under a microscope you could actually see the wave-forms cut into the plastic. Try extracting audio from a CD using a laser pointer--it's just not possible. I think that ultimately counts for something in the grand scheme.
