Admiral T'Var has ordered the yard's industrial replicators to produce replacement components for the damaged and retired Starships that are being repaired as replacements for losses during the DOMINION WAR. The replicators normally use a great deal of power and now that demand has increased five times. The engineering crews have been monitoring and performing maintenance on the main energizers around the clock to prevent a breakdown.

Commander Lynch, Delta Aquilae's chief of engineering, discusses preventing an overload of Energizer 3 with Lt.jg. Elanda and Ensign Witt, two of Delta Aquilae's damage control specialists. The two junior officers' primary assignment is ship recovery, recovering catastrophically damaged starships and bringing them to Delta Aquilae. They are highly trained engineers who have received advanced training in every aspect of fleet engineering including power production. There are two hundred of these specialists assigned to Delta Aquilae.

Now Elanda and Witt work with 'Plant Engineering' during their 'down time' between recovery missions. Commander Lynch goes over department protocols and procedures with them and quizzes them on their knowledge of industrial energizers. They explain their answers and give their insights on the minor fluctuations they have discovered.

Commander Lynch points out a few things to them but is impressed with their knowledge and skill overall...
