Description
An interior page used as a promo image for my old artbook Mini-Muses. Been thinking it's time I start putting together another one.Original piece drawn on 11x14 inch bristol with F lead. Inked with Microns of varying sizes and colored with Prismacolor markers.

I remember seeing this a while back. It wasn't on DA already? Anyways, I loved checking out these mini-muses dude, your work never ceases to please the eye.

I posted up a promo for the actual book back a bit that featured these images. I just wanted to put them up as seperate pieces like they appear in the book. Thanks!

While I didn't make a mint off of the title it sold way better than I expected especially since it was my first attempt at putting together something really solid and doing all the work myself. I received a lot of positive feedback and learned a lot about what to do to make the next volume better visually. Having the lovely and talented ladies of dA featured in it didn't hurt none either. I was able to cover the cost of the shipment I ordered for the shows, personal sales, and promos and make a small bit of profit.
Since I retire my books after a certain amount of time for the collectors to have something special the only way to get one now is if someone out there has it and wants to part with it. I am starting to give thought to doing a new volume especially since I realized it's been about three years this month since the first one.

Rarely see pinups with little kinetic flourishes like this. Love it. Plus one to you for the de-picked olive.

I really like this, I like how she's laying on the olive and how her body touches the sides of the glass. I also like how the glass itself has been colored. The only crit I'd have is that the shading on her skin is really solid shading, but there's no real direction for the light source. So there's there's really solid shadows that don't make a lot of sense as to where they're placed. The shadows on her legs and right arm look like the light is coming from the direction of the viewer, but her right arm, body, and face look like the light is coming from the top.

Thanks for noticing the little touches. I totally agree about the shading. Don't know what I was trying to do with the shading but obviously my lightsources got screwed up somewhere. Live and learn.

Thanks, man! I don't know if it's as effective as I would like in the coloring but that's the beauty of old work, it shows you what you can work on and pay attention to for future pieces.
