My little brother is doing an astronomy project and trying to remember the planets in order from the sun. I just HAD to put in my 2 cents =/I miss being a kid...

I miss the days studying Pluto as a planet lol. back in those days, you got an A just for naming the planets in the right order xD

But just think about poor children in the middle of their education, who once have to learn it's planet, and suddenly next year it's different. Someone should do something about it, I think.

Maybe this could be a good motive for some reasonable financial compensation? You know, physical or psychical harm and all... series of suicides, depression or crisis, sense of lack of safety and unsureness of future (maybe other planets aren't sure, too?), trauma to all disappointed children...
And how come NASA can just decide such things, huh? Such important matter should be democratically voted.

No, but sometimes I do miss the good ole days. When I rode the stegosaurus to school and when we logged onto another computer, we used real logs! That part I don't miss so much, though. Cutting down all them fucking trees was a hassle.

Bah! Planet is such an arbitrary term anyway. The only reason they dropped pluto was because there's such an abundance of other objects in the solar system that fit the same criteria that Pluto had to be called a planet that they would have to be classified as planets too. So instead of adding a few more planets, they just changed the definition of planet to exclude Pluto.
