Making sense of reality allows us to impose order and meaning in an otherwise chaotic and meaningless existence. For good or ill, it is only perfectly natural.

True enough, but when applied to fiction, everything in moderation.

In all honesty, I can somehow relate to ol Quib here. I mean, I tend to be kinda biased too, when it comes to whatever fandom I'm part of. Always putting my argument forward, always speaking my thoughts. And when something in that fandom upsets me or disorients me, guaranteed I'll be in a rantin' mood. 😐
So yeah, this guy kinda speaks to me...

Yes. I think Quibble represents many bronies. Especially in the analysis community. XD

You live in a world full of magic, dragons, alternate dimensions, crystal artifacts, and demonic centaurs.
Why are you questioning the logic of an adventure book series?

I know right. XD
What use to creatures in a fantasy world have for fantasy books? Or for a Dungeons and Dragons allegory either? XD

Which is why Quibble is not much fun. :/
Except when he's getting his comeuppance. XD

he falls under this tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php… as in his life time the world has been saved no less then 4 times, yet a book is too unrealistic

I imagine Yearling's editors and publishers HAVE tweaked her works over the years.

Likely so. That's why there's no respect for continuity or realism. XD

One of her trading cards say her horror novel 'Beast From Beyond' isn't a Daring Do story only because the experience was so horrifying, that she didn't feel right publishing it as part of the Daring Do stories.
