When *megoomba (actually, it was *messa ) drew "The Legend of Zelda" from the hat, my first impulse was to draw Vaati. I LOVE Vaati... As far as purple villains go, he's up there with Skeletor.... Anyway! I wanted to draw Vaati because most people don't even know who he is, but the very first entry, submitted only a few hours after Meaghan posted the journal, was one of Vaati. HOLY CRAP!! So I shoved the idea out of my head.

After spending two weeks with a HORRIBLE art block, I decided I had to FORCE myself to do art. And I sure as hell wasn't going to let this week pass without fanart from me. I LOVE TLoZ. Anywho.... after trying my hand at both Shiek and Nobooru, I went back to my original idea. Sketch after sketch came out, and then I finally drew something I liked. This.

Colored with Prismacolor markers. I need more practice with them. And actually this wouldn't have been so bad except that the paper I was using BLED SO BAD!!! I got frustrated and didn't take the time I should have. Oh well, there he is!
