Across the beautiful verdant planet of Zoa where the Zoan people live happily in union with nature, all kinds of plants and flowers grow. In the plains of the ring continent that makes up nearly all the landmass of the world you can often see large fields of flowers.

Approach them however and you may find yourself waking a group of inquisitive Flitterblooms.

Flitterblooms are a species native to Zoa, only inches high they are plant based life forms that fly around on leaf like wings, carried by the heat currents of the tropical planet. They spend a large amount of time in the air but come to rest on the ground in groups, digging their pointed legs into the ground to act as roots to absorb water and nutrients. Because of this they have neither mouths or noses and communicate using a set of organic chimes built into their hips, wiggling their legs and dancing in specific ways to create the sounds that make up their unique language.

Since there are no insectoid species on Zoa, Flitterblooms are the primary method that the local plantlife use to pollinate. Occasionally they will mix in a unique pollen to the pollen they bring from flower to flower. Once this happens a new Flitterbloom will grow inside the flower, increasing it's size as it does so. Once the Flitterbloom is born it will possess characteristics of the flower it grew from. This method of their reproduction leaves any flower they use larger and stronger than before and as such they are the prized guests of Zoan Growers such as Jolene to help grow their crops.

They are insatiably curious and will fly around, land upon and closely examine anyone that comes near them. They are often known to take and keep certain items for long periods of time though they can easily lose interest without warning.
