Perhaps this could be under photojournalism, as it sorta is in a way
It is also just art to me that is miscellaneous. Either way.... My B/F has his own video production company and is always contracted to work for the cities local college fire fighters. He goes and video tapes their training in order to show at presentation. There are usually a few a year so he goes out and gets in tunnels with night vision and all these enclosed spaces that would make me entirely too clostrophobic. However, this was the first time I was invited, as it really is the first time I have not had to work during a shoot. So I took some shots, and was actually pretty impressed with the full size quality my camera produced. I, however, am against the upload of 2000 in resolution shots on DA. So you'll have to do with a 700. I have many of them, perhaps if you like I will submit more than just one. But repetition is what killed the watchers you know...so who knows!

Yay for more firefighter shots!! another great shot. The only thing I think that would make this cooler is the figther to be completely silhoutted by the flame, with a black surrounding the flame... but this definately something hard to catch, and thats whats amazing about it.

Wow, what a fantastic shot. The lighting in the photo is excellent, especially for the time of day and the short exposure.
A really great capture of the fireman himself, granted we can't see his face, but it's odd that the photo makes him seem so casual about it...

yes I was, I wasnt too sure of going, because usually the photo videos are long and boring. But he was like "how often do you get to shoot fire?" and I thought about it and I was like 'your right' And Im glad I went. because it was a great artistic oppurtunity with the cam, as well as being really neat to witness how the training opps go.

also the overall composition is nice especially how the border fits with it
the light matches with the slight white border and the overall dark tone with the thicker black border

thank you, I love the structure of fire and how it works, it is pretty interesting and the firefighters are pretty compassionate and couragous.
