Project done for someone special.
We both love Labyrinth and it's one of my favourite art subjects so what could be more appropriate for her birthday than the Goblin King himself.
Labyrinth is still the best fantasy movie ever made and David Bowie brought Jareth to life with such passion that he'll forever be one of the best cult fantasy characters of all time.
Done with polychromos pencils and built up in layers, utilising my pressure application and layering techniques, the picture consists of 8 colours.
Jareth's eyes were done with white, dark sepia, warm grey 1, warm grey 2 and warm grey 3.
His eyebrows were done with warm grey 5.
His nose was done with white, warm grey 1, warm grey 2, warm grey 3 and warm grey 5.
His mouth was done with white, warm grey 1, warm grey 2, warm grey 3 and warm grey 5.
His face was done with white, white, warm grey 1, warm grey 2, warm grey 3, warm grey 4 and warm grey 5.
His hair was done with white, warm grey 1, warm grey 2, warm grey 3 and warm grey 4.
His neck and chest were done with white, warm grey 1, warm grey 2, warm grey 3 and warm grey 4.
His shirt was done with white, warm grey 2, warm grey 3, warm grey 4 and warm grey 5.
His hand was done with white, warm grey 1, warm grey 2, warm grey 3 and warm grey 4.
The orb was done with white, warm grey 1, warm grey 3, warm grey 4 and warm grey 5.
Finally the unfocused background was done with warm grey 1, warm grey 2, warm grey 3, warm grey 4, warm grey 5 and warm grey 6.

Completion time: 20 hours, 19 minutes
