I've set myself an 'Alphabet Challenge' for 2018.
Each week I will move through the alphabet and make a piece of art related to whichever letter I have reached. It might be a tv show, film, character or vehicle - whatever pops into my head.
We've reached week 13 and now half way through round one of the challenge and we reach M. Well, who else could we have besides that badass Decepticon leader himself - Megatron!
Seen here storming his way through the hull of an Autobot ship.

Takes out Ironhide with a single shot to the head. "Such heroic nonsense!"

So, kudos to KingdomMay for guessing the correct answer!
Done with polychromos pencils and built up in layers, utilising my pressure application and layering techniques, the picture consists of 27 colours.
Megatron's head was done with white, light blue, Payne's grey, black, deep scarlet red, cold grey 2 and cold grey 4.
His body was done with white, violet, light blue, black, cold grey 2 and cold grey 4.
His plasma cannon was done with black and cold grey 5.
The hull fragments were done with white, light magenta, light yellow ochre, terracotta, burnt ochre, Venetian red, black, middle cadmium red, cold grey 2, cold grey 3, cold grey 5, mauve and burnt umber.
The cables and piping were done with white, magenta, violet, light blue, black, cold grey 5, Prussian blue and mauve.
The blast effect was done with white, light magenta and medium flesh.
The smoke was done with white, light magenta, light red violet, violet, Indian red, deep scarlet red, mauve, warm grey 3 and burnt umber.
The little bit of Starscream you can see was done with ultramarine, black, cold grey 4 and warm grey 3.
Scrapper just behind him was done with violet, earth green yellowish, black and cadmium yellow lemon.
The space backdrop was done with black.

Completion time: 3 hours 49 minutes
